Big LCD???No thanks.Come on Nokia,I wanna buy something with an OLED from u guys..
Why so big? People don't want a 17cm long phone in their pockets. A 15-16 cm phone is pushing it for one handed use. Plus the bigger the screen the less effective a 4500mAH battery is going to be. The ratio of screen size and tech to battery capacity is key (as well as chipset to battery capacity). The sweet place is 6 inch and 4000+mah battery.
Kissio, 03 Apr 2020You are wrong ... as usual. For example, my Mate 30 Pro 5G have GMS and they are working ab... moreHello, I can answer your question and name a couple of things. First of all, Nokia phones come with Google Play store out of the box. You do not have to work it out for yourself to put it on the phone, so basically you can use it out of the box with Google. Easy. Secondly, the Nokia phones come with MicroSD support and not Nano SD, which is a proprietary memory solution of its own design. Only Huawei supports it. Third, Nokia comes with android one so you get the safety updates and also you know once you install a major OS update, you just don't have to go through the hassle to put GMS on the phone, again. Now we got to no. 4, and that is simply availability. Since Huawei doesn't come with Google, its availability is only limited here in europe for example, whereas Nokia phones are widely available.
The frequency coverage for 5G is great on this phone. I guess that's where the premium over the other mid-range come from
lucas, 09 Apr 2020or do you have a another suggestion? preferably nokia/motorola. But also preferably 5G so i'm ... moreThis phone is the best in this price range with 5G you can get. There are Chinese brands for cheaper offering 5G but my experiences with Huawei and Honor are not very good... and we don't know when and if Nokia comes with something like a 6.3 5G prived 300-450 euro. So I would go for this device.
best midrange in world
very very nice
lucas, 09 Apr 2020or do you have a another suggestion? preferably nokia/motorola. But also preferably 5G so i'm ... moreOf couse Nokia if you want good user experience(with clean android) and without bloatwares which the other chinese phones have.
or do you have a another suggestion? preferably nokia/motorola. But also preferably 5G so i'm good once 5G gets popular and the infrastructure is there. Thanks.
hi i have a huawei Mate 20 PRO. I am not satisfied. The phone looks good but the software is buggy, updates are late and also i have issues with the fingerprint scanner. I am looking forward to the nokia 8.3 but i hope they can release it sooner because july sounds far away. The sooner i can get a new phone the happier i am.

I Read the datasheet here:
Nokia8. 3 5g
why no OIS for the main camera? Without OIS, its just a midrange camera even though it looks good on paper
Nokia should revise the prices of the newly launched smartphones 8.3 and 5.3
Z, 06 Apr 2020Nokia definately can Dominate indian smartphone market as People will always prefer Nokia devi... moreI don't known about other countries but in India Samsung never made a genuinely good budget phone. With some of the best deceptive marketing malpractices Samsung dopes some Indians well known youtubers and reviewers and offer them money, gifts in return of raving reviews of their mediocre products. Currently one such youtuber made the confession.
Their flagships comes with low quality Exynos in India that are 20% down in CPU and GPU performance, lower quality image processing and more power consumption than Snapdragon counterparts sold elewhere. And Samsung charges the same price of their Exynos and Snapdragon variants.
I recently had the experience of using a mid-range device from Samsung, the M31. Why many claims it is a good budget device, sadly I don't understand. Roadside quality phone plastic body, phone creaks under slight bending force, mediocre camera, laggy Exynos SoC, crappy graphics and very color inaccurate amoled dim display whose auto brightness does not work.
The Realme and Xiaomi phones are way better at same price and makes much better phones.
Request all to stop hating Chinese phones as many have no idea or used one, and simple hate coz they are Chinese. This is wrong. They have improved so much, that no Samsung, Apple, Nokia or LG can challenge them upto 400 euro price range in our country.
At only 460 euros we have Realme x50 Pro which is a 5G smartphone complete with Snapdragon 865, Amoled display, glass sandwich premium metal body, good cameras, big battery, ultra fast charging and what not. We do not need an overpriced Nokia 9 here. Nokia known that very well and thats why they have not launched the Nokia 9 as no one will buy.

The main thing is that they need to charge reasonable for the device.. Most of Nokia devices are over priced and this is why people opt out for Chinese brands.. even Samsung have changed their strategy and Launching great devices for reasonable price in Indian market..
This device isn't really the best.. for the price it misses lots of features.. like OIS, an amoled display, Only 18 w fast charging while atleast 30w support should've been provided..18w Charger in the box is ok.. Also the base model should've been 6gb/128 gb instead of just 64 gb internal memory when it has hybrid sim slot. Also the design isn't that appealing to me.. HMD just tried to copy cheap Chinese design here.. Long story short : Typical HMD device with low features and high price..

Such is the level of cut throat compet... moreNot only in India android phones drop quickly in price, I think in pretty much every country because the competition is so huge. The Note10+ for example was over 1150 euro here and now it can be yours for 'just' 830 euro. 320 euro price drop in only 6 months. Nokia phones and LG phones also drop quickly in price so it's always a good thing to wait a couple months.
