Where is you're mind..
baboo, 29 Mar 2020nokia is coming back with this master-pieceFunny joke !!
Nokia's competition has become brands like ZTE, specifically this ZTE device -> https://www.gsmarena.com/zte_axon_11_5g-10139.php is the new competition of this 8.3
Brands like Samsung, Apple or Huawei are already so far from Nokia, light-years away.
Anonymous, 28 Mar 2020I agree with you except for the display part. I'm glad to see more phones using lcd instead of... moreYes right bro these people don't understand cheap amoled are not real oled they are cheap in quality and more prone to burnin. My friend with amoled screen and samsung phone he went 3 times to repair his screen due to burnin.
Flagship amoled are different then the midranger one. Thats why Nokia's dedicated pureDisplay hardware with lcd is better then those cheap amoled.
Anonymous, 28 Mar 2020Put some more money get a Samsung s20 5g you got everything you need Lol what everything you need? Bloatwares? Heavy loaded samsung and vendor apps? Which slows your phone later on and consumes battery?
And the rest No android updates?
This all you need?
When you view the entire video, you see that Nokia is really making a play with this phone for Enterprise customers with road warriors who travel to multiple countries, especially in EMEA, and smaller countries in APAC and CALA, where all the bands it covers will come in handy. Of course, it may not be so compelling to those in the USA and BRIC markets, where many don't venture out of large domestic territories, except on vacation.
You also see Nokia's Enterprise play in the overall emphasis on security and a commitment to monthly security updates. They may even make an attempt to provide Nokia branded Mobile Device Management tools with features such as Enterpise Wipe and a Enterprise App Store. That would steal revenue for Nokia from players such as AirWatch (VMware), MobileIron, etc.
Many individuals looking for a flagship may find the specs lacking; OTOH, someone who would normally buy a USD/EURO 300-350 phone may find value in making the leap to something they can keep for at least three years, if not more. My only disappointment is that for all the talk of future-proofing, there is no 802.11ax, or WiFi6.
Anonymous, 29 Mar 2020Yeah it is too expensive. HMD have fumbled this phone something terrible, it really needed to... moreI'm from uae here the lowest price for 5g phone is 900 euros
Brother if Nokia bringing a phone with 5g for 599 euro
What else you want brother people are ready to buy
People has money the phone in that price so that's price definitely it's a success model again if you can't afford you can look for china models there no point complain about branded phones Nokia is not a brand that everything will give cheap price
Example - a BMW car the same features you can find it in other brand but it can never match with BMW brother Nokia is something like
Anonymous, 28 Mar 2020Put some more money get a Samsung s20 5g you got everything you need You gotta be joking.
Niko, 24 Mar 2020600 euros? Well that's not so bad, I guess I can handle a phone being some 200 euros overprice... moreYeah it is too expensive. HMD have fumbled this phone something terrible, it really needed to steal Mi9T/Lite sector business to stand a chance and it just won't do that. I doubt HMD is going to last another 12 months... but then again I said the same for Sony Mobile after the Z5.

Hirsimaki, 28 Mar 2020I can't quite agree with your opinion. It is true that no phone can't compete with its 5G c... moreBrother this phone is not coming for competition or something or race it's global 5g smart phone in that price tag as a branded phone it's super deal if you cannot afford that then go behind Chinese cheap models everything cannot give cheap holding a Nokia branded phone there's prestige value that we can't get on Chinese piece shit. Yes brother there are problem sometime in Nokia its electronic device it's made by human not by nature even Samsung world number 1 brand has problems highest expensive device Galaxy fold went badly wrong but end the day they fix it so Nokia also just like today got a problem tommorow they can fix just like with Nokia only and only can compare like Samsung or Huawei or apple the can never give a global 5g smartphone in a 599 Euro price tag
Anonymous, 28 Mar 2020Brother the Nokia 8.3 it's not a just a phone
It's the first global 5g smartphone which mean... moreI can't quite agree with your opinion.
It is true that no phone can't compete with its 5G capabilities, but the rest..
PureDisplay cannot compete with AMOLED on similarly priced phones even what kind of magic tricks it does.
Your opinion that SD765 is best in class? Yeah on a mid-range phone it's true, but this one is priced like flagship killer.
Carl Zeiss lens. Haven't seen any example pictures from its camera yet but if we look on past devices from last few years, Nokia that had Carl Zeiss lenses i wouldn't hope too much.
As they weren't quite at the same level as competition. Hope this one has better cameras.
Your quote as quantity over quality is partially true. Build quality is superior, but the software is not quite on the same level.
Like Nokia 9 (from which I'm writing at the moment) has some serious software problems. Same goes with other models, go and read some forums where people talk about their problems with phones and you understand what i mean. Of course every phobe has their faults but Nokia should really stood up with their software.
Nokia is truely a legend but there is only little in common with phones that made Nokia a legend decade ago. Still i really hope that HMD Global gets everything in shape so it could rise from oldschool ashes of Nokia. There's still some work to do.
My opinion about this phone is that its specs are great but the pricetag is sky high. Atleast 150€/$ cut from price and it would compete with others big time.
Could have been perfect with a
High refresh rate
And without that Nokia logo on the chin
Toni, 28 Mar 2020Kind of overprice. LCD screen with no OIS. Not sure how this phone will survive with the compe... moreBrother the Nokia 8.3 it's not a just a phone
It's the first global 5g smartphone which means roaming is possible
The display it's not just ips panel it's a pure display pixel works visual processor inside it's converting sdr to hdr real-time even the content that you are watching normal quality this technology even beating AMOLED and oled if you want check the display quality check the both phone side by side playing the same video
And snapdragon 765 brother best in class processor
Camera Carl Zeiss lens
Action cam mode
Brother this phone gives you quality not numbers
"You know what quality is more than quantity"
Nokia is a legend bro don't compare Chinese piece of shit
Kind of overprice. LCD screen with no OIS. Not sure how this phone will survive with the competition from Oppo Reno3 series and Redmi K30 Pro series.
joe nodden, 19 Mar 2020Well technically the Honor 8X Max is even taller at 177 mm. Found a phone that is 191.8 mm tall. From 2014. Samsung Galaxy W 7 inch
Anonymous, 25 Mar 2020Specs look good. The only downside for me is the IPS LCD display. Bring (AM)OLED to your phone... moreNo, that is great! All amoled phones have indisplay fingerprint. Why do people not care about being completely identified with everything they do?
LCD with external fingerprinters is better, as you can cover up that sensor.
