All this fighting over who's best... I am a happy Nokia user but I realize the old Finnish bricks will never return. For me it's good that Apples and Sammies are popular; it means Nokia prices usually drop quickly. My 8.1 was outright cheap and does everything I need. Too bad that this 8.3 wouldn't tempt me to change. I also hope Nokia fix their naming, an 8.3 should have OIS and wireless charging. I'll keep waiting for the 9.2!

RC255, 02 Apr 2020No issues with fp scanner on my 1+ 7 pro. Positioning is also personal preference. I have never used under display fingerprint scanners but it can only get better. OnePlus is doing a good job in that. I would like a side mounted fingerprint reader to use with the thumb I think, but I also never used that. As you said it all depends on preferences, and I think the under display sensors only get better in the near future. Faster, more accurate and spread on a larger screen area.

We love nokia brand and continue loving it. Absolutely its our choice you love your chinese brand Huawei (without GMS). You know previous nokia in lumia era without GMS where were they?

It does not have to much to do with the price. The density of the pixels per inch or quality of the materials used (glass or plastic) micht influence the price, but they all burn in at some point.

I am really upset why nokia doesn’t use amoled screen and very poor rear camera setup only 2+2 mp how funny & their phone are so old looking like big bezel no need to branding nokia in front display full veiw display looking sporty

If Nokia have better in quality or other aspects from S... moreSamsung phones are sold now days due to their low price but their midrange are so cheap they are giving plastic build quality phones and flimsy diisplay's having burn-in every time my friends got burn-in 3 times in few months. That show's their ugly quality phones and why they are low priced.

HMD has a long way to run to come/arrive at the ears of samsung users. Let's not forget Samsung users don't mind that fuggly bloatware of the system samsung has, if that was the case, they would have been using nexus or pixels or whutnut long ago. To look at market share of samsung (that grew a lot in the past 8 years) and compare it to HMD's, you gotta know not to much. Compare hmd with samesung at it starters and let's see who has more share. Then compare the market saturation of today, with what it was as samesung released plasticky, very bad quality devices and still sold, some years ago. Then compare the quallity of devices and let's see how samsung is better... cause it ain't. HMD can't afford to sell 1500$ devices cause everyone will dropp on their had, complaining how expensive they are. Samsung can. So hmd has to release great quallity devices with great software with good prices if they want to be stable and not falling, and this is exactly what they are doing.

Nokia's sales are falling down, the brand is a nightmare of what it was, it's sinking ever deeper since Microsoft bought it, and HMD is just a bad dream. Either Nokia is once again the old Finnish brand from the early 2000s or it is destined to disappear.

Niko, 30 Mar 2020I suppose so. Id like to see Nokia having a competitive price. If it was competitive I'd buy N... morei do not think HMD wants Nokia to be seen as xiaomi, oppo and so on. In the same time, the prices grew with time (especially now), and they are forced to follow the market tendency, as raw materials and parts manufacturers grow in prices. Ad to that better quality parts batches then the cheaper Chinese manufacturers and the fact that they actually pay their employs. All around, nothing comes cheap. And minding the fact they do not use Foxconn anymore as their assembly outsourcing (at least this is what i acknowledge), maybe the other manufacturers cost a bit more per device. The prices will go down with time, as any other, you do not have to buy it on release... if you like it, wait for 6 Mounts and buy it with 380 or something in this range.
