HMD Global has released the Android 10 update for the Nokia 8 Sirocco, making it the third Nokia smartphone after Nokia 3.2 and 4.2 to get the latest version of Android this month.
The new firmware sports version V5.120 and requires a download of around 1.4GB. It comes with a new UI in addition to Dark Mode, Smart Reply, new gesture navigation, and new controls for location and privacy.
The new build also bumps up the Android security patch level on the Nokia 8 Sirocco to April 2020.
HMD is rolling the Android 10 update in batches, with the first batch including 35 countries listed below:
HMD says 10% of the markets in the first batch will get Android 10 today, and we have confirmation that the update has already arrived in India and Sweden.
The company will release Android 10 for all the countries in the first wave by April 20, and the list of markets getting the update in the second wave will be shared soon.
The same here in the Netherlands. Poor wifi, draining battery and bad connectivity with Bluetooth aswell. Hope there is a fix soon because the phone is unusable now for me.
Not only bad WiFi, bud also more use of battery and bad Bluetooth connectiviy aswell. Loved my Sirocco on Android 9 but now on Android 10 it's really bad. Stay away from Android if you don't wanna break it!
Stay away from Android 10 on Sirocco. Multiple users (myself included) report terrible WiFi performance, mostly with respect to decreased range. In my bedroom, approx 6 m from my wireless router I suddenly get "poor" WiFi signal strength or it discon...
