i am back! how are you guys!
firmware version is temporarily unavailable as per nokia personnel. personally, i haven't got any upgrade yet since my purchase. basically my asha is stocked in .26. now back in business and excited for an upgrade. please make it quick Nokia ^^,

dolly, 11 Dec 2012i also have a bettry problem it does'nt last is it how this nokia is made ofI have a solution for you now, uninstall the WhatsApp, remove your SD Card & Sim Card then press the Restore Factory Setting and select "all". What will happen is you save more battery life. Hope it helps.

Pple r so hurry 2 blame nokia witout reviewing any solution in dis forum or they dn't know many things.
Battery problem Reson:
1.1GHz,Whatapp running in background 24x7(only in s40),3g sim,Network Data-set on 'Always',Old version firmware & last u might had charged immidately just after buying da phn witout finished phn's reserve battery.
Solution:Don't use whatapp,set on GSM while not Surfing or Calling,set Network Data on 'When Needed',update new & latest 14.78 to 14.xx firmware(backlight adjustment options available)from Nokia Store which ever available in ur country,charged after finished phn's reserve battery.

i've just resolved another issue in my phone...my asha 302 was consuming up my balance via constant running of GPRS....
solution: i deleted my what's app account b/c either it always keeps using GPRS while roaming or uses it less...there's no such thing as "don't use GPRS" in the what's app!!

I bought my new nokia asha 302 just a few days back...it's a fantastic phone full of all the features that one wants from his phone...initially i had a problem that the nokia browser wasn't opening any website which i sorted like this:
go to
-settings
-configuration
-personal settings
Add "my web"....
then go back and press "default in all apps"
go to "connectivity" and make sure that "internet connection" is set to "ask first"...
Now open the nokia browser and search for anything in the search box, it should give you options for selecting WLAN or your network browser....select whichever you wish and enjoy...
Note: your web experience will be much greater if you download and use opera mini browser!!

I have a problem with my 302. The phone is good but the battery only lasts for 13 hours. Even if I'm not using it, it drains. This is bullcrap. I bought it in genuine package. Sh*t!!

Plz reply seriously......The stronger part in a nokia mobile is its battery and build quality...This headset is also live upto mark...To get maximum battery first update ur phone to latest software version that is v 14.78....uninstall whatsapp if u r not using it...minimise the light intensity in settings then light...after that u will get battery life of about 2 days easily...thanks friends
