1) i've tried it and i've fou... moreLet me get this straight I was referring to the galaxy pocket which is in the same price range as the asha 311.
1-I have a galaxy pocket,htc one v and I seem to have no problem while playing angry birds with all animations turned on in the galaxy pocket....the lagging which you mentioned happens only when I have 5-6 apps running in the background....and there is no lag when there are 2-4 apps running.This is wayyy better than the asha 311 which does only one task.
2-The core of the s40 is is the same with the UI changed.
3-The type of multitasking you mentioned only works when you are in the home menu but not when there is a full screen app running like a game.
4-I know what levels in angry birds mean....what I meant was the Samsung pocket can get all the latest seasons like angry birds space.But the asha 311 does not receive such updates and you will have to be satisfied with the levels that come default with the phone.
5-There are other things that you don't get on the asha 311 like GPS,navigation,compass.And the screen resolution is only 56k where as for the same price you get 256k colours in the pocket.
Asha 311 is a good phone but it nowhere matches It's android counter parts.This phone is good for people who want simple phones with no multitasking but for others android is the best choice.

asha 311 is nice budget phone but why still s40? at lease symbian got full multitasking! i will consider tis if running symbian

1) i've tried it and i've found that even it cant play all the levels smoothly with background animations turned on.....in some levels it becomes frustratingly slow....i can say that because i m using it right now.....
2) i admit s40 is old but still it is the os which have evolved more than any os....even more than ios....
3)and when i said semi multitasking...i knew that there is no term like that but i ment that u dont have to close apps to read messages or play music or turn on wifi.....and yes androids at this price can multitask but even if we opened a app in background and start a new game it doesnt work properly........
3) ok ....play store is better than ovi.......here u won...but still imp. apps r available
4)and do u know what a level in angry birds means...angry birds season have only 3 or 4 levels with about 50 worlds in each level.......

increase Rs1000 give 3.2 camera with autofocus instead of fixed focus camera. Kindly think about it for nokia fans.

all those saying things about s40 pls note that s40 is not the os it used to be in earlier feature phones......it basic changed a lot with a swipe ui now....it lags only in multitsking but in other aspects its better than its rivals at this price.......and also some of phones with higher price..............it has got an app store too.......and let me.tell u all that there is a pdf reader for s40 in ovi store..............it works quite well.......
and there is not much threat of virus or malware also like that of android.........
this phone is much like a smartphone(except the multi tasking)
