Samsung's dual sims have short standby time, but if my phone totally falls apart before the nokia is available, I'll have to buy a Samsung.

Hello guys!
Just like you I am anxious to buy this phone. I phoned to Nokia Romania and they gave me a terrible news. This device won't be available until the 2nd quarter of December, at least in Romania, so we still need some good nerves and patience.

This is for every one, I wrote an email to NOKIA PHILIPPINES about this Model, I asked them when is the launching date, this is the reply:

We would like to inform you that we are trying to avoid misinformation by giving you a specific estimated waiting time which might not be followed that would result in frustrating you further.
In addition, our Nokia C2 Dual SIM (dual standby) is expected to start shipping towards the end of the fourth quarter of 2010 and the pricing will be announced once it has been formally launched in the Philippine market. Please note that the above mentioned information is still subject to change.
Kindly be advised also that all Nokia products are carrier and market dependent in all countries due to the tests carried out to ensure compatibility with network and government regulations. Furthermore, all sales and pricing are still dealer dependent and you still may want to contact your retailers for updates and availability of our Nokia devices that have Dual SIM capabilities.

I heard that nokia will not release this phone in 2010. I'm waited this for 2 months still now. Bt am dispointed... Am going to buy nokia 2690. Because C2 is not a dual stand by phone,it has no EDGE facility, it has no video record.no zooming.. And and no 3G facility. After this DIWALI the main operators like AIRTEL,TATA DOCOMO,BSNL,IDEA,VODAFONE will launch 3G In INDIA.. So don't wait for this stupid phone. Buy a best phone as your wish, which is available in the market....

C2-00 is having bug & the problem is switching between two sims. NOKIA was planning to launch this diwali but now its impossible.
It will expected to launch in 2011.

Many people are really getting frustrated waiting for this phone. Hope Nokia has the news that many are waiting eagerly. Why cant they release it? Is it coming our or its just fake news and false advertisement?

there are more cheaper dual sim Chinese phones the West African market. they have all the features mentioned here and eve more. averagely they cost as low as 30 euros that is even with touch screens and many more. nokia is still an expensive brand compared to its competitors. Nokia sit up because you are behind the Chinese now have a bigger market share than you. the market was yours but now no more.

hi all, it has taken too long for the release. the Chinese have already taken the lead in the market of dual sim phones in Africa. this(Nokia C2-00) is nothing new in West Africa comparing to the Chinese dual sin phones on our market.
