I got mine overseas. I don't have any of the problems you quoted here. Infact, the image viewer is the best in this phone. Its so smooth and fast. I've copied 14 megapixel images taken from canon power shot and it handles them like a breeze. I even edited the photo and added frames and stuff. It'll take longer to save it, but it good. Net is good enough. I'm using vodafone. And i hear people talking about hanging and restarting, thankfully i haven't experienced any of those in my 2 months... .
actually its a good phone, but, it gets hacked when v sent msgs to many at a time, and it is getting switched off...:( also when am viewing photos copied from my lap, it takes time to change to the next snap.... waste of time in a way... is the net facility so fast for all using this handset????? its little slow for me I guess... anyway its nice using this phone... my first own mobile:).

Actually, c2 does have multitasking capabilities, but there is a software cap in place. Recently i tried to install one nokia internet radio application. When i opened it, it showed the message "too many applications running" and showed a list of applications running in background - IMs, email, music player and ovi store. I later done research in the matter and found out that internet radio is not supported by the phone (the nokia one which i downloaded), but also i found out that all the applications i mentioned above are not integrated onto the operating system, even then we can open them directly like they are. So, they are all running in background to open as soon as we click it. Unlike other applications which shows a startup window.... So nokia is some how limiting it in s40. Remember, c2 has same ram as many other s60 phones out there....
It is gud in internet using...but some draw back like stand by batery charge upto 24 hrs,and when music it is 12 hrs...low camera quality
