i have this unit and was very disappointed on its very short stanby time, only 3 days and 9 hrs!!! contradicts to what specifications said!!!

Just go to Menu -> Settings -> Phone -> Phone Mgmt -> Device Updates. It will require you to connect to the internet to download the updates. Just follow the directions that will be provided to you. It will restart your cellphone so do not panic if it turns off or something. Just let it be until it says that your software has been updated. Make sure to have enough battery too, okay? It might take a while depending on your internet speed. 3 bars is more than enough I think.

Modern lithium batteries don't have the memory effect, if it indicates full charge remove the charger so you could save electricity. Draining the battery?? that is now just a URBAN MYTH in the modern world we have know, because the MODERN lithium batteries are now so flexible! Only replace a battery if it somehow burst or expand, not when you feel the battery life is getting short.

I bought this phone here in the Philippines amidst the controversies that it is defective. I have been using it long enough to say that C6-00 is a superb gadget for such price. The moment I bought the handset, I updated the software as advised here. And I never encountered any hangs or slowdowns. I even use my C6-00 to view microsoft and pdf files! I also love the social networking features of C6. It loads fast when connected to WiFi. I used SUPERSURF by Globe and I enjoyed Y!M and Facebook through this phone. The only problem I encountered is the battery life. I do full charge once a day. Other than that, the phone is great.
