well today is 9th day of my c6 and i found it fine as per my requirements. i do agree the phone hanged and restarted 2 times in this span of 9 days and that to because i have been instaling to many applications frm ovi store. even a dual core procesor pc or lappi gets hanged when u do to much multi tasking.
well i found it fine as all my major requirements are fulfilled vis too much messaging(almost 70 to 80 mess a day) accesing mails anf facebook regularly.

its a great phone, just upgrade ur FW via OTA, there will be no problem

Anonymous, 17 Nov 2010ohk thanks buddy.. I will try on another c6... There may be problem in my c6..Try flashing your mobile's firmware at Nokia care AFTER TAKING BACKUP of all your data in phone memory.

camera is perfect..
you can take good pictures even in a total dark area.

After reading opinions here, I still 'gambled' with a c6; bought one 5 days back. And I came back here just to post my experience, hoping some of you can make a decision based in a small part due to this.
1. Initially c6 pieces WERE faulty (shipped in September), but Nokia has FIXED all bugs and the new shipment (October) has NO HANGING ISSUES whatsoever!
So if you decide to buy one, check the box for an October shipment date (not available in all Nokia priority outlets though)
2. Have been using this phone non-stop and it has been working like an absolute charm! The only problem is the battery life (and to a lesser extent its memory; can't run too many apps simultaneously!)
Since I had waited for this phone for months and almost decided not to buy it based on online user reviews, I would be more than happy to share my user experience with anyone who might find it to be of any benefit.

How do you find wtr its a Good phone...wtr everything wil work properly or not...? what can be done incase if there is some difficulty faced after buying this phone..? Will NOKIA care help us...?

So, 8/10 is not correct...

In India :
Like the domestic gas cylinders are sold to hotels and commercial establishments for higher price and domestic users face delay in getting cylinders, I think Nokia releases only limited handsets (Nokia C6-00 I mean) which are 100% working. Actually the rate will be less. But they sell for more price (for example Indian Rupees 500 to 800 more in Nokia priority and 3rd party shops).

They observe the customers' mind and they fix the price.

But overall, it has 8 out of 10 for value of money in terms of features.

It is a worst set in nokia, almost i say that its a hanging phone, bcoz when we use qwerty key pad it hangs then & then so dont buy this set

According to me, instead of buying N8 for such a high price (Indian Rupees 28000 approx), it is better to buy a LAPTOP !!!!!!.

Anonymous, 17 Nov 2010Bought mine today. Surprisingly, it is way better than I thought.Dude, You have made a big mistake. I've got two C6 on the very day it launched. Now, they are at Nokia Service Center for repair work. This is for the third time they are getting repaired. Nokia priority dealer is accepting that handset is faulty but they are not replacing them.

Regarding file transfer, it does not stop when the screen is locked (black screen) or it is locked manually using the slide switch in right side of the phone (when kept vertical facing display on the front side).

Backup all your data and update the FIRMWARE. Remove unnecessary software from the phone (phone memory and memory card).

hey guyz plz check ur c6 phone.. I found 1 problem.. When u transfer any file from other mobile 2 nokia c6..then there appears a hide button.. Just press that nd enter ny other menu.. THE DATA TRANSFER VIA BLUETOOTH WILL STOP.. The data transfer will also stop when the touchscreen gets autolocked.. (that is when key guard screen is enabled after 10 to 15 seconds...) plz tell me if this problem exists in all nokia c6..?
