I heard Nokia stopped selling C6 for sometime now, and will be relaunching it on N... moreNokia is not going to launch it on 9th of Nov. The real date is 12th of Nov.
And they will place a magentometer into it too.. the phone will now weigh around 75 grams more making it around 225 gms.
You will be able to use the nokia c6 as a self defense weapon. besides using it to find your way using the new augmented reality browser that it will feature.
So just wait for another 11 days.

I'm not a Nokia fan, but, someone who just makes serious comparisons between the features I'm going to get and the price I'm gonna pay for those features. I just stopped being a Nokia fan, the day the Nokia Care people just damaged my brother's 5320 XM beyond repair. Even my first phone was not a nokia but an LG, the LG KG300 Dynamite. However I've found out that the price I'm gonna pay for the C6 is way too less for the features I'm gonna get from that. Otherwise, I would have gone for the X6 16 GB version or the Sony Xperia X10 mini pro! instead of waiting so much for this one (phew! 5 months of waiting!) still no signs of getting one.
And regarding your confusion over the N97 mini and the C6-00 is concerned, I'd rather suggest you to go in for the C6-00, as I suppose Nokia has stopped the production of the N97 mini(that's what I suppose!). Otherwise specifications wise, both the handsets are same in all respects. The only advantage you get in the C6-00 over the N97 mini is that you get the lifetime Voice Guided Navigation License bundled with the C6-00, while it's not available in the N97 mini. Nokia started bundling this license with all their handsets announced after January 2010, after they acquired NAVTEQ.
So, I'd suggest you go with the C6-00!

nokia c6 is a hot mobile....it dosent hang i prefer u should buy it...5.0 mega pixel! its too hot..
DONT FORGET IT HAS A QWERTY KEYPAD..

yaar i dunno how u guys sayng like this..cz im using it and it wrking fine....Wifi internet everythng its wrking smoothly...and abt the battry backup...ask urself yar hamesha hi phone par lage rehte ho kya tum log kaan par chipkaye rehte ho..???? i too use it bt nt like ths..ya my usage is music and movies daily one movie....subha 6 am charge hota hai and it wrk fine till 2-3 am im satsfied wth this backup.and hanging problm..i dunno.everythng n my phone wrking osam...

Have it for one week now! Absolutely love this phone! It has all the features of the N97 Mini sans the screen tilting and none of the software issues.
Battery lasts for about 2 days under moderate to heavy use.
Cons: The upper row keys on the keyboard are hard to reach, especially if you have big thumbs.
