When we said symbian is StRoNgEr or more PoWeRfUl ... we didnt mean protection against viruses ...but the ability to run computational heavy, high fps etc programmes....N first of all its virtually impossible to "hack" a cellphone unlike computers .... plz dont make claims about things you dont kno about ....if u mean viruses ... well till date there are only a couple viruses 4 android platform while there are plenty of them 4 symbian
Sure android needs higher hardware support than symbian ....but like i said b4 android has proportionally high abilities too
What makes you think aligning htc sence, touchwiz etc on androids is tuffer than symbian ??? you tried doing that or something ???? :P
what do u mean by Upgration & Updation of UI ??? if thats firmware updated ... there's no difference for the same in androids and symbians .... if u mean os ugradation ...Well how can you comment about that till there's a update for symbian rel.5 devices to symbian 3 ???
I agree that android WiLL face competition frm meego, maemo and symbian 3 but these oses will compete with Android 3......Android 2.2 will only compete with symbian rel.5 n its beats it by large

Plz chek ur data .... e5 is the only 1 with 256mb ram ... others have 128mb or less .... and well plz mention what "newly released" phones have 256mb rams ... plz dont talk about n8 cuz androids in the same range offer 1ghz processors and 512mb ram ....
+ as long as 600mhz processors are concerned we've seen models like spica with 800mhz processors perform worse than 1s with 600mhz due to lack of ram ... so ram matters a lot
Android 2.2 HAS flash 10.1 ..... like i said b4 .... when people think android ... the think of android 1.6 or so .....android 2.2 is a lot better than its predecessors
As long as symbian 3 is concerned ... we really dont kno much about it yet.... plz dont jugde OSes solely on their UI .... and there's no surety that even the models that run symbian rel.5 well will be getting symbian 3

for me.. it a nice phone.. my friend just take one.. my opinion.. this phone look eligent and easy to use.. talk about camera.. have a nice picture becauce this phone use 5 megapixel camera..

My guess is there are still more apps for the symbian os than android. When any website tells you symbian has few apps, they refer to the number of signed and registered apps on in stores. A vast majority of symbian apps are not signed. The problem is not difficulty of coding but rather difficulty in registering and signing apps. That problem has been fixed by nokia with their new policies.
Another problem is profitability. Organisations like binpda who specialize in cracking paid apps have driven away lots of potential developers.
The symbian i know has no tough limitations. Android on the other hand is full of em. Apps don't even support multi res. I can still remember a game i had on my 6630 (s60v2 res 176x208) 6 years back. Duke nuken 3d. When i got my n95 8gb (240x320 s60v3), i installed the game, the exact same file on it and it actually worked. It even worked in landscape!

Symbian is much stronger & robust than android as hacking of cellphones are much easier in android rather than symbian OS...
Multi Tasking works better in symbian and android needs higher hardware support to operate where as symbian can run on lower hardware configurations also...
Many mobile companies such as HTC, Samsung, Ericson faces troubles while aligning their own software with Android like HTC faces too much troubles while aligning HTC Sense with Android...
Samsung Touch Wiz, Sony's custome UI on Vivaz, Satio are based on Symbian...
Upgration & Updation of UI is easier in Symbian than Android...
In short time android will face toughest war against MeeGO or Maemo...

As we all know google had released androids code a long time ago. Like linux ubunto we can modifie android as we like. But with symbian we can't do it. I'm not a programmer but my cousin is. I've seen him working on both the platform. The interesting matter is it's very hard for the symbian apps to make it support all type of phones. But with android it's not that hard........

It's true that x6 and c6 has 434 mhz cpu but newer phone like c5, e5, 6720, 6760 etc. phones have 600 mhz cpu. E5 got 256 mb ram too. And now-a-days most of the releasing nokia smart phone has 600 mhz and 256 mb ram. And i don't get it Wht's d use of rom in mobile. I've never seen anyone use it. I think i've made my point clear. Next version of Symbian is gonna release very soon. So just wait and watch.............

The reason why Android has so much more apps than Symbian is that it is much harder to make apps for symbianplatform than androidplatform. That is 1 huge reason why Nokia goes to Meego instead of symbian in their future n-series.

I see a lot of discussion for Galaxy 3 and C6. Galaxy 3 is missing on GPU so high end games cannot be played here. Also a whole load of stuff at the android market is unavailable for this phone because of the resolution and also it is also missing the qwerty keyboard.
C6 with symbian is ++ bcoz of the keyboard but symbian cannot be compared with Android as Android is far more versatile in terms of usability and features (not considering Galaxy 3 because of the resolution and missing GPU).
The verdict as per me is if u buy C6 or the Galaxy 3 today, you will definately regret it and also probably change your device within the next 3 months. So buy a Android 2.2 compatible phone with minimum 3.5 screen and GPU for games and hey Android has flash 10.1.
