i was very confused between C6 and 5800..finally decided on 5800 as music is my first preference.
the camera of 5800 sucks...but it has certain features like graphics accelerator,Upnp, JAVA runtime support..
whereas C6 has a grt camera, but none of the above mentioned specs..moreover it doesen't even provide a stylus!!the headphones are crap, and no audio chip..
so C6 is not my phone.. :-)

But for the firmware update, it might seems that N86, 5800 and the future C6 will be the three most updated compared to 5730 because N86 and 5800 is sell very well (and i believe C6 will also be). whereas the 5730 were not as successful as the other 3.
I might also suggesting you only 2 phone, N86 and C6, as the 5730 and 5800 is very old now. if nokia decided that those 2 phone is EOL (end of life), the support will be very minimum.
I somehow fell that the X6 price will go down, and 5800 will cease to exist.

Anonymous, 23 May 2010Hi guys... I am planning to buy a mobile. Please help me with the below mentioned models. I am... moreHi,
as usual, first we must observe the specs from the forum.nokia.com.
1. CPU speed.
5730 have 369MHz
while N86, 5800 & C6 have 434MHz
so Nokia 5730 is the slowest here.
2. SDRAM/RAM
all have 128MB
3. NAND flash
C6 have 512MB
others have only halves.
4. OS
C6/5800 have S60v5
5730/N86 have S60v3FP2
Which mean that all the devices here is really on par. Only nokia 5730 were a bit slower here.
So, here is my take.
If you were into photography, N86 is your devices, the Carl Zeis Lens and the big sensor on N86 make it special for photography. The photo result from N86 is the best compared to other competitor in 8MP line up. And the quality is also very comparable to the stand alone digital camera quality within the same MegaPixel. N86 also have a AMOLED LCD screen.
If you gonna choose 5800 and 5730, I would recommend you to get C6 instead.
Because in 5800 vs. C6
1. you also got QWERTY with C6
2. C6 have bigger NAND flash, and have a bigger OS. To me a bigger OS is a sign that OS in C6 is more mature than in 5800, and since the OS in C6 is bigger than NAND flash in 5800, that's mean the 5800 won't got a firmware update that can match the C6 capability.
in 5730 vs. C6
1. C6 have twice more pixel, and larger screen area
2. 5730 use slower CPU
3. C6 is a QWERTY+touch whereas 5730 is only QWERTY and also accelerometer. Imagine an apps/games that you can have with C6 instead of 5730
what are the gray or white markets?
Hi guys... I am planning to buy a mobile. Please help me with the below mentioned models. I am planning to go for:
Nokia C6
Nokia 5800
Nokia 5730
Nokia n86

i really like it v.much. just launch it as soon as possible plzzzzzzzzzzzzz
[deleted post]Ur hair will turn grey waiting for c6 to come in any mkt- white or grey.
m very confusd bw 5800 nd dis one...
iz d muzic quality of dis iz really dat bad!! or its jst average... only muzic iz key factor wich attracting me 2wards 5800 otherwise c6 beats 5800...
if we nt consider the muzic quality den what extra features makes d 5800 a better 1?
faster processor=higher cost.
faster processor=lower battery life on 1200mAH batt.
faster processor dont guaranty faster performance on S60v5 since S60v5 optimized to 434mhz speed.
Maybe nokia can do a FW update so that 5800,X6,N97 And N97mini runs on 600mhz speed.
any ppl who wants high processor n ram u can buy N8 S^3.
why is the processor so weak? you would think nokia would put better processor considering their previous failures
i have confidential news from a brother at uk. he tells me nokia c6 is coming at july. it wont be coming at 2nd Q due to some correction at its design platform. so guys dnt wait for it. it have many flaws st its design software.

Anonymous, 22 May 2010nokia now is the poorest company making phones now, look at the specifications, 400mhz process... morenokia symbian is very good OS. With this 434MHz CPU, the speed is comparable to the android at 1000MHz. Whereas the new OS in N8 is heavier, so that it need faster CPU to make it speedier.
And please, CPU speed is not always the way to see how good one phone is. It just like in notebook, intel release the CULV processor that mainly optimize on power usage. Nokia can use the processor that have the most efficient power usage ratio compared to competitor because symbian is lighter compared to competitor.

the training might seems easy for you, but let me give you a picture. in my country, indonesia, let say nokia have 3000 outlet throughout whole country. in each outlet they must present at least 1 or 2 person to go into this training. so, nokia might make the training to be 200 person at one time, so they will have 15 training session in 15 cities. that's not a small job.
