i'm hearing in almost every song that features the bass more...i'm using this headset for more than 3months and it doesn't sound like this before..the bass sound is losing it's kick u know what i mean..maybe it's just the headset..
another one..regarding that purple tint issue..is it a standard procedure to reflash the device since they confirmed that it is indeed a hardware issue?..someone told me that next week some perfect screens are coming to ncc..

I got no cracking noise on any of those headsets even if I set the equalizer to bass booster (I haven't tried it on full volume though, don't wanna damage my eardrums.lol) based on how you describe your port dude..I think mine looks exactly the same. what headsets have you tried? make sure it's properly plugged and I'm pretty sure you shouldn't hear any cracking sounds not unless the headset is defective or damaged.

john, 02 Apr 2011thanks for this info anonymous..but unfortunately, I have called the nearest NCC from my place... morejohn i have a question..when i set my equalizer to bass booster i can hear cracking noise through my headset..i tried two different headsets it's still there..when i set it pop it lessens but i can still hear it's there...my question is the thing inside the 3.5 port supposed to be hanging slightly cos mine is kind of lying flat..but not totally flat it protrudes a bit..

it says that my ovi store needs to be upgraded but everytime it finishes upgrading it says that upgrade failed.,i always click the try again button but still the same.,please help me.,

i am using the nokia c7... it has failed to meet my expectations..... sad phone.... the sound quality is bad. ... the phone hangs up in between.... the call and is very very bad....

Camera- same 8mp cam and HD video recording
OS- same symbian^3
Internal memory- 8gb (C7) vs 340mb (C6-01)
Screen size - 3.5 (C7) vs 3.2 (C6-01)
Built - C7 slimmer while C6-01 a bit bulky
Price - C6-01 is a bit cheaper.
C6-01's main advantage is it's CBD (clear black display)
I guess that's it. Choose what suits you best.

anonymous, 02 Apr 2011about the colored tint problem, its really a hardware problem, the amoled one specifically. He... morethanks for this info anonymous..but unfortunately, I have called the nearest NCC from my place. They said that, "yes, we are admitting its a hardware issue" but what they would do first is to reflash or update your phone and if that doesn't fix the issue, then they are going to replace the LCD..some phones were able to be fixed but some are still showing that discoloration (I really did'nt get that.lol.).So, they advised me to wait until they finish on working on this issue and try to call again in a few weeks to confirm if they have perfect AMOLEDs that has no defect.
by the way, to all C7 users...never have an I-shield installed on your phone if you still want to use your warranty..the one I talked to confirmed that warranty is voided if you have this on your phone simply because installing I-shield requires a liquid material sprayed on the unit.

about the colored tint problem, its really a hardware problem, the amoled one specifically. Here in the Philippines and im sure to other countries as well, it can be fix more or less 3hrs in the NCC. Before the reason why you have to leave your phone in the NCC for a week or so is because they are not that aware with this problem, but now that they are already aware of it they can now attend to your problem.
i think they prioritise those with this kind of issue. I've read about this in a forum where a lot of c7 nd n8 users gathered. So if you have the same problem just go to the near NCC, ask first if they have amoled supply for this problem so that you dont have to leave your phone for days. I hope i was able to help.

man is there any way to diagnose if my audio jack is working properly?..

why, 02 Apr 2011i don't wear my earphones right... cos it's louder when you place the left piece on your righ... moreas maverick has advised before,download tunewiki and create your equalizer settings there and it should b available on the default music player.i tried it and I am now using my own preset.

@maverick:you did it again dude..another helpful tip.yup,i have installed it and it worked but just like you said,its looks kind of dull and not as cool compared to the demo.lol.so,im not using it and went back to using spp slideunlock instead.the good news is..the apps not installing before are now working.thanks again dude for the very helpful advise.
