The problem with every new phone, after two years learning the old one, you feel they change things around and put them where you cant find them, and make everything more complicated, to covince you it's new technology. On the last decent phone I had the 6230, with a simple thing like 'COPY' contacts I had the option, Phone to Sim, or Sim to phone. In all the options and explanations in my C7 I'm told of the obvious advantages of copying from the Sim to the phone but not how to copy from the phone to the Sim card also for obvious advantages. Nokia help line said my phone doesn't come with that option. Is this true, if so how can we get around it.

now. Besides I'm sure your unit has at least a 1-year warranty right? With those problems, I'm sure they'll consider a replacement and not just a repair. Good luck dude.

why, 29 Mar 2011yes man i'm the one with that menu key not working problem...it's terrible..whenever i turn of... moreSounds like a lot of problems mate, if you've bought ur phone in a Nokia store then take it straight back and ask for a new phone, not a repair. You deserve that much.

I personally find the menu key a bit stiff to use so I've placed a menu shortcut on the home screen instead. Use that if there is a problem with ur menu key and if you cant get it fixed. Cheers.

nari, 29 Mar 2011except the 32gb of internal mem in nokia n900,you can find everything in C7.you will completel... moreOk, my turn since I have a C7 AND an N900..

First off, if ur looking for a regular phone, the N900 is not it. Its an Internet tablet, which can do calls. Its bulky and heavy (181 grams compared to the 139 of the C7). It very much has GPS, and many GPS apps that work very well, but OVI maps does not have voice navigation. Only the main menus dont rotate in portrait mode (that can be changed with a mod) but most apps including the browser and dialler do.

Where the N900 beats the C7 is its great web browser (its the only 'phone' I do web banking on), great skype and voip integration..you have to see that to know what I mean, its fantastic customizability which even beats android and some others like the better still cam, fantastic multi tasking, the great keyboard and screen and some really unique apps.

Where the C7 beats it is in size, better touch screen, more apps and support (Maemo has a community supporting it but not Nokia, they've even released custom kernels).

To conclude, the N900 is a great device but not for everyone.I use it for everything except as my primary phone (I'm writing this on my N900). You can look at its spec sheet and be floored, and I have yet to meet a single person who owns the device and doesn't love it, but if ur after a regular phone and ur not much into experimenting or tech stuff, stick to a 'mainstream' phone like the C7.The N900 is a breakthrough device of which there will be no more.

john, 29 Mar 2011yep thanks...btw, if you're sim compartment is slightly defective and if i'm right that you're... moreyes man i'm the one with that menu key not working problem...it's terrible..whenever i turn off my phone and turn it on back the menu key would not work..i have to reboot it again for it to work...and my sim compartment is defective..cos when i try pushing the sim it will not pop out..i have to literally pull it..i'm scared the if they fix that thing and open my phone it'll cos me more problems...everything is perfect aside from those three problems.(the sim compartment..the horizontal lines.menu key)...my c7 never hang or restart..i'm still waiting for their email..it should arrive tomorrow..and after that i will decide if i'm going to visit NCC..
i bought my c7 here in Laguna..P17,750...in NOKIA CONCEPT STORE..
