Nokia C7 - user opinions and reviews

I have been visiting this site for years now and have got tremendous help from user opinions and reveiws by GSMarena while buying any new phone for me or frends/ family.
Today I am taking pains to write for first time. This is for this beautiful phone C7. Many of your frends and family will tell so many things about Android and I phone and negatives about Nokia n Symbian. Its fashionable these days.
But here comes a phone which is simply amazzzing 'value for money'. It is unbleeveable to get so much features and style at that price. I have not used Android n I phone so i dont know how good their GUI n functionalities are but I could not find any good Android or i-phone in that price range.
The Symbian^3 is very good and i have loads of appreciation for this mobile in general.

i think N8 is a way better as it has HDMI connection, watch video, play hd games from phone etc.
it's camera is the best at this moment.
N8 feels very solid, whereas C7 feels delicate.
N8 feels like a device from other planet!!!
i would say N8 is the choice!

AnonD-2572, 22 Mar 2011Yes, T-mobile's version of the C7 will feature the PR 2.0 firmware on release with all the imp... morewas expectin pr 2.0 to be out by 1st week of april but i guess we'll have to wait. : (
the pr 1.2 update fixes a Mail for Exchange sync issue and adds in latest versions of Ovi Maps and Ovi Store, plus some other minor bug fixes. which dont excite me.
its still not available to indian users though.
one more bad news, the 'nokia default' theme which is seen on the pr 2.0 update gives out the purple effect on the bottom of the screen (where the options are).

now, between n8 and c7..it will depend on your budget, c7 is a little cheaper but almost has the same features with N8(same os, same screen size, both can play HD games, both can shoot HD videos, etc.) If you want a better camera (12mp)and price really doesn't matter go for the N8.I have been using c7 for almost 4 months and totally satisfied with it. to tell you honestly, IN MY OPINION C7 looks way too much better than N8.

Jow ca... moreYes, I am using c7 for the past 2 months and I see lot of dust accumulating inside the display. I have complained to Nokia care and they have sent my phone to the head office. I am waiting for a replacement. Nokia care first ignored my problem but later on my repeated requests they took for review.

Still analysing to get rid of it. I am trying with different sim cards now I use Vodafone.

Skype for the C7 doesnt have video chat yet, although you can do that through Fring (i havent tested that out yet, i find the app annoying lol ), so check that out if you want video chat over internet..a supposed update also will bring video calling over wifi ala Facetime for iphone but its just a rumour..I can confirm that video calls over 3G(Network call) work well.
