Hi Guys
I just got my C7 yesterday. It is a fantastic phone but i have one question, actually 2:
1. How do i save a video or audio file sent to me via bluetooth to the gallery? i mean, flv can be viewed when they r at inbox, but i can't find them in my videos directory. other formats also play when at inbox and i can find them at "videos", but when i delete the msg i can't find them anymore.

2. How can i access File manager application?

thnx a lot

AnonD-2572, 04 Mar 2011You can charge your phone normally while it is on and online.. no need to switch it off. The o... moreDude, do you know that whenever we plug in the charger, the phone automatically gets disconnected from the battery and starts to use the running electricity from the charger. Batteries are one way only. They usually don't charge and discharge at the same time. Otherwise the whole system will short circuit (since the current is in DC). Don't you agree.....
Oh btw, nice review on the screen problem. I want to add something. We all know that amoled screens has a certain tint of its own. And amoled screens don't have back lighting i.e the pixels light up only when it needs to emit any colour or light. So they remain turned off when it needs to emit black colour. Hence it has the thing we call 'deeper blacks'. Now what i wanna say is that maybe the tint that amoled screens has (in turned off state) come in the way of colours when they are emitted in low brightness magnitude, giving a new kind of tint.
I am just guessing. Don't take it seriously.

Emerald, 04 Mar 2011Hi Guys, Can anyone of you recommend the best video converter for Nokia C7? Want to wat... moreMost files I've tried on the C7 play natively without conversion..that includes .avi, xvid, MP4, MPEG1 and even .flv. Even some m4v files worked but I had to rename the extension to .mp4v/.avi. I havent tried videos over 720p though.

Try using the file directly copied to your C7..if it doesnt work you can use any standard video converter. The native resolution of the C7 is 640x360. I found that smart movie converter and WinAvi converter work best for me.

              Hi all,

I am using this phone Nokia C7 for last one month and I am not satisfied with the fit and finish of the phone. Mainly the touch screen panel is not fitted properly and there is gap between edges and lot of dust pass through it to the inner display which spoils the view. Instead of viewing lot of colors in the display what I see is lot of dust. Even the rear side batter cover is not good. There is lot of gap between the battery cover and the body. So strongly do not recommend this phone. I bought this phone on seeing the specifications. This phone has got the best specification till date. And even there is some software issues which I expect to get resolved in the future updates.

Hi all, I am using this nokia C7 for the last one month and I am totally not at all satisfied with the fit and finish of the phone. There are gaps between the battery cover and the panel and lot of dust seep through it. And even the main problem is gap between the touch screen and the body and here too lot of dust get accumulated inside the display which looks very bad and spoils the display.

Sympathies, but thats the way it goes.

Just a couple of comments :

A lot of readers are asking comparisons between the C7/C6-01/N8. They all have the same software and pretty much the same features but differ in hardware, for example the N8 has HDMI out, 720p HD TV output and larger internal storage (16 GB vs 8 GB on C7 and 340 MB on the C6-01). The C6-01 uses a clear black display that is pretty good and the price range of the three go down in this order - N8-C7-C6-01. I'm happy with the C7, I think the N8 has a great still cam, you should know that the still camera on C7 and C6-01 is fixed focus, and in my experience it takes great pics outdoors but appears fuzzy indoors even with good lighting. I think the C6-01 is a cute, compact and very capable phone, but I personally find the 3.2" screen to be a bit cramped. Ultimately its a question of how much your willing to spend and whether the extra money is worth the extra feature. All 3 phones are exactly the same when it comes to running software and apps.

Secondly, some forums say that there may be a difference with the display issue depending on where your phone is made. As far as I know it seems to affect almost all phones especially the early ones from all areas, including made in Finland. My phone is made in Korea, btw.

meetsurjo, 01 Mar 2011hi, question is to maverick75...as you post abt a offline sat nav in c7 .pls tel ver to locate itThe sat nav is the ovi maps application..voice guided and free. What I'd suggest to update your device stored maps is that once you have the phone, open the ovi maps application and then close it (that creates the necessary maps folder on your phone, which should be there by default),then connect it to your pc via ovi suite, open the maps tab on ovi suite in your pc and update the maps you're interested in (you can choose by area, country in ovi suite), it does involve large downloads so I hope your internet conn. is fast :) The maps show good details and point of interest and voice navigation is free for drive and walk, and once you store the maps on your device, you dont need any internet conn. on your phone when ur using navigation, ie its offline.

To every one here who wants to create a custom equalizer for the music player of c7/n8/c6-01,

Here'a a trick that might work..download and install the tunewiki media player from ovi store, then open it and go to the equalizer setting in tunewiki and create a custom equaliser in tunewiki(you can rename it after you create it). Then select it and exit tunewiki..open music player and check the equalizer. you should have your newly created custom equalizer there. Let me know if it works for you. Cheers!! :)

I posted this here cos quite a few of my friends are complaining about not having a custom equalizer setting on the c7 :)

For everyone's info..the C7 has only ONE external speaker, the other grill at the back is just a dummy. :)
