the AMOLED issue with most c7 and n8 phones.... morebuddy i have the same prob with my phone..
i visited Nokia Care but they said they were not aware of it and said it was in every handset (including da piece they showed me) and), they said it was normal.
i then sent a complaint directly to Nokia India via email. In a weeks time i got a call from Nokia India, they told me to go to the same Nokia Care centre but this time they would have someone to personally look into the issue.
so i went to the centre, the manager of the centre himself came to look at the issue, he accepted that something was not right in the screen and said that he could try and change the display, which they did.
But the new display has the same color defect.
I guess all the Indian handsets have that defect. u'll have to live with it.

hi Maverick...this a nice phone...its features are as stated in the tech specs..i just got it yesterday nd everythng is fine so far...except..i couldnt find some apps like the*ovi store,ovi suite,social netwrk apps,ovi maps nd a few others.please i'd like to know if i'm supposed to download em myself or were these apps supposed to come pre installed.?...pls put me through...nd it also has the pr1.1 release..thanks, in anticipation of a helpful reply!

How is the GPS feature in this mobile? I live in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Do I Need to download any street maps to this mobile from OVI store? Do I need to be on the GPRS while on navigation mode? Or does it works just like a typical GPS gadget namely Magellan or Garmin using the satellite signals. Need your help asap.

its where the dark gray colors tend to be purple.
is it a hardware defect? or can it be fixed with software update in the future? unfortunately, mine has it. I've had my c7 for almost 4 months and everything is ok aside from that issue.does your display show this kind of discoloration?you can check it if you set your clock to analog, lock your screen, then press the menu button..if half of the clock is purple, we have the same issue.please reply thanks.

I just got one C7 from a Nokia Qt Training session. It's seems to be a good phone: many features in a small package (it's about the same width and height than my G1 but 1/3 thinner). The camera is great. S^3 is very responsive.
I have yet to make a call with it and connect to the Internet.

Got one Nokia C7 recently. Its an awesome device. Screen clarity, camera for videos or pics, video playback with awesome clarity. with all great feature packed in, i say Go for it. U wont regret.... ("-*)

today m purchasing this thing. one more question i would like to ask, that after buying it i have to charge my phone,so how should i charge my battery either by switching off my mobile or directly in normal mode.. and should is always charge my battery by switching off my mobile phone.. m very confused about charging mechanism plzz drive me out from this coz i dont want my mobile's battery to drain out quickly.. plzz help me.. what sould be done and what is the correct process to charge my battery.. plz help me out.. waiting for ur suggestion.

why, 03 Mar 2011guys help me... i just found out and noticed just today that my photo gallery is somewhat blu... moreStrange.. I havent heard about or faced that problem..do you have a lot of pictures on ur phone or are they large size? If so, the pics might be pixellated when you open them but should be full clarity a moment later..if rebooting ur phone or restoring factory settings hasnt helped and the problem is persistant, the only thing I can think of is to upgrade or reinstall ur firmware and see if that helps. you can do that thru ovi suite. I wouldnt recommend a hard reset.

I have the silver C7 and like it, it has a light golden brown front and goes well with brown/silver themes. Some people I know like the black versiom..I'd suggest you check out both of them in your hands and decide which you like better.
You dont get much in the box..only a charger, a USB cable for pc, and headphones..not even a micro SD card..I think it costs around 18000 in India, and it doesnt matter where you buy it as long as the warranty terms are good..make sure ur warranty and customer care is solid..maybe a NPD would be better for that.
I dont know how much a USB OTG adapter is..havent even seen one yet at the nokia dealer..will let you know if i get any updates on that front. Good Luuck.

i just found out and noticed just today that my photo gallery is somewhat blurry...
when i'm trying to browse the photos it's pixelated eventhough the pictures are alright and clear before...
before when i'm scrolling the photos it's ok..but now it appears pixelated...and when i open the photo it's also pixelated...help me...how can i solve this problem?...should i bring this to nokia care?....help me please...and when i try taking pictures the preview display is ok and smooth but when i'm trying to view the picture fron photo gallery (PHOTOS) it is pixelated..help me solve this please...

Hey guys, I'm really2 thanks to nokia creating such a superb smartphone with such price. I already experience using it 1 months and I feel good using it. The voice is clear, movie play without lag, camera and video in dark place will never be a problem. The only disadvantage is sometimes after I'm opening 5 to 6 application, it will hang and need to restart. Means this processor is just acceptable and not the best. But still, with the price, I'm very happy to use it.
