Ash-Kc, 27 Feb 2011I'm just wondering if the plastics used in this phone is good or not. is it strong and durable... moreHi..I've used the C7 for a couple of months, may not be enough to comment on its durabilty, but the phone is solidly built with no creaks and a solid glass face, metal trim and a metal battery cover. The plastics feel solid too. No scratches on my phone yet. :)

why, 26 Feb 2011just in case u don't know guys there is a little update in the software update in tools....it ... moreThe glass used on the C7 is scratchproof gorilla glass. That said, its not absolute, so to be on the safe side I would recommmend putting on a screen guard - I have put one on mine.Take into account what you've spent on the phone and invest a little extra to protect it. Its worth it.

AnonD-2475, 27 Feb 2011What is the fixed focus in Nokia C7? can i zooming in Video Recording (HD Recording mode)? ... moreSorry, didnt answer the first part of ur query..a fixed focus camera means the focus "range" for the camera is roughly 50 cms to infinity..Practically what it means is that you cant take close up shots clearly..u have to be at least 50 cms away from ur subject..I can confirm that brightly lit outdoor shots particularly long distance landscape shots are fantastic, but close up shots are blurry esp if lighting is not very good i.e indoors.

It is my "everyday" phone.

I'm just wondering if the plastics used in this phone is good or not. is it strong and durable or susceptible to damages and cracks easily? I know the glass used is good, but the body panel should also be strong. Can anyone clear my doubts? thanks!!!

is the screen scratch proof though???cos the plastic layer of my c7 was accidentally removed though...the plastic screen guard is a lil bit expensive...i need your opinion guys

Nokia C7 or Samsung Galaxy I9003 SL You cant really compare the two...the C7 is a mid-range symbian smartphone and the Galaxy IS9003 SL is a high end Android smartphone..its basically the same as the galaxy S with a super clear LCD screen in place of Super AMOLED..that said you really have to decide which one is right for you. I have a Galaxy S which I use sparingly for web browsing or games, but I also have the C7 which I've customized with all sorts of software and which I use as my "daily" phone, especially to listen to music and radio while travelling and maps for navigation..all of which it excels at..its web browser isnt as good as the galaxy S and cameras are a mixed bag on both..u really have to see what u'd be more comfortable with..and oh..the C7 will be quite a bit cheaper :)
