why, 07 Feb 2011where are you from the philippines?? i had try updating my firmware yesterday using *#0000# ... moreim here in ilocos region.please try browsing nokia ovi using your phone thru WLAN connection and try searching for SW update. i don't remember exactly what i did during my SW update but i'm just browsing when eventually just came to see on my phone that a new SW ver is available so i just follow the steps until update is successful using wlan connection.also try to navigate your fone when you're online using the phone set-up (config your phone) widget.u can find there SW update.hope this could help.thanks

Kissiedu, 07 Feb 2011A friend of my mine told me that the maps on the C7 is not live from the satellites but a pre-... moreAs far as i know, you can turn ovi maps offline or online. If offline, you need to download pre loaded maps, it will work with just the pre loaded maps but is not live I think. If online, you are assisted, but network will charge you for data transfer.
About the update, it is said that some region codes are not yet available, maybe later.

A friend of my mine told me that the maps on the C7 is not live from the satellites but a pre-programmed one from the ovi-maps. Which means that if there are any changes of an area say a street name or name of a shop it cannot be changed on the C7. Can somebody educate me on this?

hi,i hv been using c7 for almost a month n hvnt encountered any prob but nw after the software update my videos doesnt play,only d audio runs..any1 knows how to fix this?b4 this didnt even hv d restartin prob..please any1 help me please..even the video shot with d phone camera doesnt play..thanks guys

*#0000# - then check for updates, but it keeps on saying "no updates available"
tried the manual update by going MENU\APPLICATIONS\TOOLS\SOFTWARE UPDATE, but it keeps on saying "all are up to date"
tried NOKIA OVI SUITE 3.0.0.290 (this is the latest version) but "no updates available"
pls help, WHAT SHOULD I DO, RIZAL PROVINCE PHILIPPINES..

Coz nokia and intel are partners and they're competing with Google(Android). That's why they simply improved the Symbian OS and they are working for MeeGo OS.
