I bought my c7 just 4days before and today i am off to the shop where i bought it :( It restarts and overheats, But you all should realize that this phone is worth taking the risk, mine is a nov2010 made batch and was said that its problem free, but phew...my bad luck! Anyways c7 is truly gr8 and im gonna try one more time to see if i get another c7 which is problem free, if this happens again im gonna go to n8!
After all its a bios problem due to the firmware, and not a hardware problem, It all started when i noticed my opera automatically shutting down! And then after couple of hours it huts down and restarts!

As c7 has flashlite 4 will it able to play video sites like 5min,dailymotion,metacafe,hulu etc in the web without any hiccups?
What about good flash games?

problem in 1st batch of C7 has been solved by two minor firmware updates.

They are slightly slow in progressing and marketing. they made phon... moretnx for your opinion...but should i wait for the second batch of the phone or buy one from the first batch...i'm still going to buy this amazing phone but i'm thinking of buying it on march cause maybe those phones are problem-free already..but i can't that much longer..i need a great phone and i think c7 will suit me well...

Karl, 10 Jan 2011for those who already has this phone, can you please site some pros and cons of C7? thanksOwn the Nokia C7 since Nov 2010. So far the most stable phone from Nokia. I have upgrade it from Nokia 5800 which is also quite usable. The so..so built in browser works as it should with flash lite 4 that support most of flash 10.1 feature. Just vist www.singtelshop.com the whole site is flash base. Nokia 5800 will fail to load that page while nokia c7 will load fine. The camera is fix focus that will still take great pic if you keep the object 50 cm away. Anyway, a skill photographer would prefer a fix focus camera so it not a clear disadvantage.
Another thing, my nokia c7 has not reboot even once since nov 2010, can't say the same for nokia 5800. Well, nokia 5800 is still a good phone. I do like android and iphone almost end up with motorola defy till i read their earspeaker problem and decided not to take the risk. Iphone is about the price... too expensive for my budget mind to accept. Well, phone is more than a communicate devices and most people take it as a symbol of wealth, being high tech representation of self and will get offended if you say bad things about their phone.
One of the most joyful thing in life is buying a new phone for good percentage of people. Have fun! :)

They invent new techology themselves
They r providing cheap phones in africa so that every person is connected irrespective of caste(people of africa continent r called black and thirld world people by developed countries ,offcourse my country also),economy,poverty.
Nokia provides "nokia life tools service" to countries of africa which gives regular news ,information about agriculture,weather,economy,education,sports,health etc.to these people so that they can gain something and improves their economic condition.
And this service is available free of cost and nokia pay subsidy to sim operator so that service countinuously work.
Recently nokia take initiative to educate children of kenya,uganda,rwanda,zimbabwe by partnership with their country govt with motto "better village better life in africa"
we said that phone is now not for calling,messaging but a show of status with high camera,more ram,more memory etc.
But for these poor people it is for calling,messaging,a medium to improve their life, which is just available to them in $20.
nokia in develop nations give oppurtunity to young minds,developer to show their talent in their own R&D Centre and to works with best tech labs of the world.
Can u find any big phone manufacturer,or consumer electronic manufacturer?
Virtually The answer is no.
Yes there r still local brand /small brands doing this.
they dont want high profits like apple but want a faith in the minds of people.
NOKIA IS NOT ONLY CONNECTING PEOPLE BUT ALSO A BETTER PATRON.
Thats why i trust NOKIA.

Yes,there is hanging,restarting problem in C7 handset in somecountries and nokia has admit it.now these problem has been solved in 2nd batch of C7 which will start shipping from 15 th of january.
To solve this problem nokia release firmware of C7 on 1 january to update current firmware 012.004
My friend own a C7.it was giving hanging,restarting problem initially but now has been solved with reinstalling of firmware.and is working flawlessly.

Eldar murtazin,chief editor is main culprit behind this.
I have receive many answer about eldar that he is an ex-nokia employ who praises every nokia phones till N97.after that he give negative review of NOKIA SMARTPHONEC6,C6-01,C7,N8,
And unbiased review of feature phone like C5,6700classic,X2 etc.
When i compare with gsmarena review i found mobile-review delibrately give such negative to weaken the image of nokia before people.
u can also check that review of phones upto n97 has been totally true and unbiased.
Similarly engadget,techradar,gives unbiased,negative review of Nokia phones.
They are being given thousand of dollar by nokia competitor,nokia old enemy.

why, 11 Jan 2011but where can we get symbian viruses??/..is it possible to get symbian viruses from downloadin... morethere were times when symbian was affected by virus.
For e.g. All s60 1st,2nd, s80,s90,UIQ version phones.
remember how badly virus affect phone like 3650,7650,n70,6630,6600 etc
after release of s60v3,s60v3.1,s60v3.2
os become more resistance to virus.
than before.
and now with release of s^1 and s^3 phones there is now a rare or very little chance for virus to infect ur phone becoz these new os are data encrypted os so no virus can send ur information online,and cannot cause damage to software.

As company r more focussing on touchscreen,high CPU,GPU,Cameras etc.as touchscreen is a future whether for mobile,tablet,atm,etc.
BLACKBERRY CURVE
-blackberry r famous for their qwerty layout,good wifi connectivity,emails,messaging,expensive looking body.ideal for business people.
-But they r expensive,has below par multimedia and camera features,few app and games,poor multitasking,low ram and cpu speed,not much user friendly OS,heavy weight,No good after sales service,expensive repairing,firmware updates are very less and not at par with nokia.
thats why will start manufacturing touchscreen and rich multimedia device in 2011 .e.g is blackberry tablet.
NOKIA C6
-has old laggy s60v5 OS, heavy,low ram,low speed of cpu,.
-But has good overall connectivity,wifi,multimedia features,good camera,thousand of app and games.dual camera,full qwerty keyboard,social and messaging and calling,nokia brand,regular future updates,good after sales service,cheaper
So its better than blackberry curve but not on par with C7 modern features.
awesome feature of C7 Which makes it king befor C6,Blackberry curve.
