Can somebody who used C7 by now tell me about the battery backup ? Specification tells about 23days of standby time !!
Also, would like to know whether the phone hangs in between.

Does it hang?
I guess this is quite important...hardly there is any high-end Nokia phone which doesnt hang, I am surprised that till now no one here and in other sites complained about hanging!
Is this really that good??

As Manoj says.. 1 speaker & not as loud as my 5800.
I did manage to find out this. 1 of the grills is a Mono loudspeaker.
The next grill is actually a microphone for clear high def audio recording for the 720P video camera.
Although I can not tell you in which order of which is which. I guesse I will have to wait for my C7:00 to arrive before I can tell you.
Everyone ofc has a different perception of *loud* so if it isn't any good for me I'll be sending it back & trying the N8 that's for sure.
I know that at the bottom on the C7:00 handset below the battery is a second microphone for noise cancellation for crystal clear voice calls.

I hope it... morehai..i can tell u one thing..c7 loudspeaker is not so loud as 5800...dont forget that its got only one speaker..but i can guarantee u that what ever coming out of it is very sharp and crystal clear..u will love it..it has very decent performance via ear phones too...

As you are using C7 for trail.
Can you tell me speakers performance of c7 in detail.
How does speakers fair in hands free call. I am using Nokia N70 and speakers are realyy good
Are two speakers produce good sound in C7.

Is the N8's Loudspeaker really any good for playing music, or the C7 for that matter over my Nokia 5800?
No one seems to know. I rang the Nokia customer services. I am trying the C7 for 14 trial days. If I'm not happy with it, guy given me a no to call to book the phone back in for return within the 14 days.
If I return C7, I'll try the N8 with the vodaphone plan. If I return the N8 then at least I'll have tried them & then returned them & wait for something better.
Not sure at this point. there isn't really anything of a multimedia grabbing attention phone from anyone so far which has good prospects, good services etc.. take Samsung, software support, BADA, not much in the way of apps. Poorer GPS modems - NOT free navigation like Nokia's.
HTC not enough internal memory, poor battery performance, poorer GPS modems, no good sounding music phones. Excluding WP7 phones again limited memory, poorer cameras.
So I'm trying the C7, then the N8. Samsung seem iffy to me & not willing to invest in a phone if things are getting done & apps or games etc.. are not available.
Maybe someone has has an N8 & a C7 can tell us if the C7 has better sounding loudspeaker over the Nokia 5800 or which of hte two have better loudspeaker for loud music playback.
There could only be one other choice. The X6 has been out a while though & is a pretty old phone now. All we want is a great all round Multimedia phone with great Music speakers, video 720p playback, good camera, lots of internal memory, external memory card etc.. etc..
The N900 was nearly that phone but isn't HD & is no longer under manufacturer soft support. Nokia need to deliver a new phone like the N900 that includes all attributes of the 5800, X6, N900, N8. A phone thats ultra high end. What say

Engineer Man, 31 Oct 2010Does C7.00 have stereo speakers or not? Because if I have made my mind up on getting the wron... morey u wan to replace ur n8 with c7? from the spec, n8 is much more better than c7. c7 volumn is small and sound quality is so so only.

That's the only thing t... moreI tried to copy avi files shot with my Canon A590 IS (not 720p format though, only 640 by 480) from a computer to the C7. I was informed during the copy that the avi type was not supported so I had to convert all files to mp4. Then I could play the files on the C7, image and sound quality were good.

manoj, 31 Oct 2010buy it...i am using it from last 3 days...it plays almost all files...mkv ,avi ,divx ,mp4... etc Thanks for clearing my doubt buddy. How loud is the loudspeaker while playing songs? I hope it's louder than n85. I don't expect it to be as loud as 5800 though. I'm gonna buy day before lakshmipujan.

Please can you tell me how good you think the loudspeaker sound is. Does it produce good quality listening for music for times when you don't want earphones.
This must mean 1 of the grilles is a Monoural Speakerphone. 1 a Microphone for quality sound recording production for the 720P Video camera.
Music lovers will probably have to wait for something newer than the X6 to get good sound. Maybe I will cancel my C7 order & keep the Nokia N8 order open.
Such bold decisions mean if something nice is released as a Music phone very soon it will make you pretty bitter when enering a 24 mnth contract.
