I will definitely go for this phone, trading my Samsung Wave as I can't use the voip or can't zip or unzip files. It has all the great functions into a small package plus FM transmitter. . . which is a great add.Samsung. . . learn from this. . . withal your restrictions on Wave.
Anonymous, 13 Sep 2010Actually the N8 isn't really better than this phone.Let's see. The differences I can tell ATM are:
Aluminium unibody VS stainless steel body
12MP l/1.83" sensor VS small 8MP sensor
Xenon flash VS LED flash
16GB internal storage VS 8GB internal storage
Kevin McIntyre, 14 Sep 2010If you mean in text messaging there is a conversation view, so yes :)Oh yes, that is true. Nokia calls it "Conversational view for SMS", hope it is similar to this on Sony Ericsson or iOS. I am now choosing the C7 over Samsung Wave due to the ability to install Fring and Skype on C7, while Bada don't allow any VoIP apps so far.
Jonas, 14 Sep 2010What type of processor and how fast? The same processor as N8, ARM 11 680 MHz processor, but without the 3D graphics accelerator.
Is threaded messaging implemented in this C7? If not, it's quite strange. Ppl including me prefer threaded view over the usual list view. Please implement this feature in the new ^3 phones!
Varun Arora, 14 Sep 2010Dude, I wish you could understand technical specs better.. Check these things between C7 and... moreAnother great difference is that N8 has a camera with large sensor of 1/1.83". Only photographers know the difference.
According to the nokia website, this phone has full focus, not autofocus. Is this true? (Hope not)
Because the sample pics posted by GSMArena look really good....as though they were taken by an autofocus camera.
We've had two Nokia5800's for 18mths & now due upgrades. Would the C7 b a useful upgrade with the faster 680mhz but only one speaker!Pref wud b for clearer or larger screens (old age!). Comments please.
Anonymous, 14 Sep 2010why the hell are they still useing symbian?! The n8 was suppose to be the last phone running it...The N8 will be the last NSeries running it, but other Nokias will continue to use their Symbian OS for their other Business E Series and Social Networking C Series. Symbian 4 Will be launched by Q4 next year
