Dear C7-zak,
If you are going for an android, then please get a dual core today. Single core phones are really laggy on android and I say this from personal experience. The Xperia Neo V is a good phone, but do consider the Sola (drawback no front camera) and Xperia U (drawback no microSD slot and limited memory,but a good phone).If you can wait the Acro S sounds good but I expect will be significantly more expensive than the Xperia Neo V.
If you are considering single core droids or have a budget concern, then the Xperia Ray might be slightly cheaper than the Neo V but has a better camera but smaller screen. And the price of the Xperia Arc S has also dropped if you want to consider it, but what I would tell you to do is to go for a dual-core phone so you can atleast use it for a year or two from now. Sony Xperia Sola and U are the cheapest dual core phones available now.
One major issue with all android phones is their pathetic battery life. If you use them for anything but calls, expect to charge the phone by evening. And this applies to all droids, the only exception is the Motorola Razr Maxx. I don't know of a single person owning an android phone who doesn't have a battery saving app installed. I find it really silly, coming from what I consider is the reasonable battery life of the C7 (charging once in 24-36 hours). Just so you know..Good Luck!!

if u wanna buy sony,then its my suggestion that u sud wait 4 sum time,bcoz nw a days sony is just announcing a lot of new phones like xperia go, xperia acro s(both r water n scratch as well as shock proof) i think u sud check them out......

Design point of view, Sola has a plastic body and might be prone to damages when dropped. But Sola comes with 8 GB storage.
Neo V, I am sure has a better build quality and is also cheaper of the two. It also has a secondary camera. But is the thicker one among the two.
I personally might have gone for Neo V. The choice is entirely up to you bro.
