Hi e5 users i got dis phone a week ago bt wana change d wallpaper bt can't so i need help.
I am unable to play youtube videos, first time I tried it prompted me to install 'rtsp' (realtime streaming protocol) but even after I did there's been no luck. Anybody that got over such a problem? All else seems to be working just fine though.
guys, I've got Nokia E5 for about 1.5yrs now and it's been working great since then but recently I've had a problem.
it seems that it can't detect wireless networks by it's own anymore, I used to use the option "search for wireless networks" and it was great, it detected networks and showed them, but now it doesn't, the icon appears as usual but it doesn't find any networks and now it uses 3G all the time which drains the battery.
anyone experienced this or knows what happened??
Best in without touch querty phones. even any blackberry phone may not have sssssoooooo mannnny features.

Am considering buying Nokia E5. I would like to know if the GPS can work OFFLINE and if I can open many applications at the same time. Please reply friends.
it is not a wise decision to compare e5 with galaxy note. It's like a comparison between chocolate & icecream. Both have different tastes and different price point.Everybody should know e series is not multimedea based handsets. If movie, music, funny applications are your priority then lots of phones out there.Eseries phones are such tools.By the way I don't dislike samsung.

I want to recommend e5 for those who are going to buy a nokia phone under 10k.Guys who have a sense of good phone for everyday hard use and wanting a lot of things to do,it is the best choice.
I originally bought a Sony Xperia X10 from my service provider. Due to an accident I needed to replace it. The Nokia E5 was the only free option. And I see why.
After having used Android for well over a year switching to a Symbian based phone was a major downgrade. It's slow, clunky and a pain to navigate through it's file system.
Home screen customization? Negligible at best. Yes you can change the wallpaper but you are limited to 6 app icons. Really? I use more than 6 apps on a regular basis, well used to. Since there are so few useful apps for symbian I guess 6 should be enough... Having to dig through 3 or 4 layers to get to any other apps I might need is just plain sad. It's a small screen and you have to make the most of it, but why is there an analog style clock on the screen when the digital time is displayed at the bottom?
GPS... also a fail. I can't get a satellite lock. Using assisted GPS isn't that much better. On a "good lock" it's only out by 250 meters.
The camera is a massive 5mp. It's fixed focus. What that means is close ups, even with zoom, are blurry and after a certain distance detail is lost. I've stopped taking as many photos as I used with the Xperia's 8MP camera.
The QWERTY keyboard is ok. I've got bigger figgers so I end up trying to type using my finger nails, doesn't work so well after clipping them.
The rocker button on the right side is virtually useless. It's for the volume, but only works if you are using the built in music app. If you need to turn down the ringer you need to navigate through the menus. Why?
On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it a 2.
I wouldn't recommend the E5 to anyone and I doubt I'll buy anything Nokia again. My next phone will be a Samsung Galaxy Note.
