No-frills yet elegant design, it is not very sturdily built, and easily flexes under stress. An added function tu use white LED as a flashlight is very convenient: I can't imagine a reason this was NOT included on other models.
OS is OK. Just OK, not even good because of many shortcomings. The biggest being very short battery life, bad memory management with applications regularly crashing, and as usual, only partial SSL-secured email. Ovi Suite still feels unfinished, as it doesn't announce known available updates. Frustratingly, updates don't even correct widely known bugs. Finally, backup function is useless. If you experience a serious bug and act as you should, i.e. backup & fully reset, you will only end up reinstalling the bug as soon as you restore from the backup file. The only way to eradicate a stubborn bug is to fully reset the phone, and only reinstall what you need. If not backed up in Ovi Suite, messages, pictures will be lost. Some server-dependant functions have been de-activated, but as the OS is not updated, some menus inexplicably fail to launch the intended function.
Clearly, this phone looks like a good and nice idea, sporting reasonable specs, but a clearly botched OS to run them all. Symbian is outdated, and the situation is so critical that Nokia gave up and wants to license Windows Mobile for its devices, itself an OS that comes from a long way toward being on par with the current champions, iOS and Android.
Email performance is decent while using unsecured or web-based services, and the phone can manage more than one account. However, as soon as you want to use a SSL-secured private email service, it constantly nags you with a request to accept or deny the certificate. If you chose to accept AND never ask again, too bad, it will indeed never ask you about the certificate, but will also silently fail to connect. Needless to say, there's no way to automatically fetch emails from a SSL-secured account.
Performance is OK, and far from stellar. While multitasking is available, it's so badly managed by the OS you never know when an application will crash, or worse, suck out the last drop of battery juice in 3 hours when you have no charger, as there are no telltale signs of anything. Low memory warning seldom appear, but when they do while your phone isn't running any application, you know it's time for a full reset: Symbian OS won't let you delete some messages or pictures to make room because... Available memory is insufficient for this task. Illogical, and extremely annoying.
Nokia, admit you've failed, and open up the phone specs and OS source. You won't earn money from crappy phones users dump as soon as they can because they can't be upgraded or made to work as intended. Users will thank you for it when coders finish the work you couldn't.

Internet connection is very good and fast, reaches up to 600kbps which is very satisfying, a simple phone yet very elegant, it has the skill to match the nokia e72. Features you're looking for are all up in here In a very reasonable price. I like it. Such a very good phone. Good to take it for granted.
only problem is it does'nt have forward or rewind button.. very difficult while watching a vedio which has a boring start... dint anyone face this problem???
