excellent phone. perfect sychronisation with my email exchange (using mail for exchange v.1.3) including calendar, email and contacts.
Only problem is I cannot disable the autolock feature (maximum 15mins!) - it has been sent as a security feature from my server I suspect. Ideas?
Got my hands on one yesterday.
Points I noticed:
- Great form factor
- Below average feel (joy stick is sticky and on/off button is crappy)
- Extended battery is not available in Bnagalore
- Will go far once nokia fixes the s/w bugs
- One addition that would make this phone a killer is stylus input (obiously with a bigger screen) . Why cant nokia make a phone that will also replace the little note book I carry in my pocket to jot down things.
I'm so confused now - what to do? Shoule I buy? Not buy? no email? no browsing? Is Nokia ok in case these above Qs have a "NO" response!! ??
I cant find out how to shut off the camera sound. Does anyone have an ideal to turn it off ? Thx
this phone is run by a 229 MHz ARM processor with 32 MB RAM!! makes you proud doesn't it?
try this site for real good free themes and softwares for your symbian phones..
you get the latest symbian os9.1 3rd edition softwares too..
answer to a previous query:
1. this phone does have a to-do list. you can set them from calendar
2. The voice button is located in the right edge of the phone. it's the first(top) button on the right edge of the phone when it is facing you.
i think new phones really come with bugs, i just hope nokia is listening to these complaints and come out with a firmware upgrade solving these specially battery life, tiny font, and umwanted loudspeaker
Does anyone knows how can I turn off the camera shutter sound ? thx for responds.
Good design, light and very thin for a Nokia.
Camera is avarage. Phone works faster than I expected. Big screen.
But just for men.
Looks so macho .)
just because yours does not last more than 2 days does not mean we are all having the same problem.
go and exchange yours. my battery works fine.
as for picture caller ID there is a program called Full Screen Caller ID that give you a fullscreen ID when someone calls provided you assign a pic to your contact. works great for me.
DO NOT GET THIS PHONE!!! I have to charge every day/2 days with no Bluetooth, no E-Mail, no Web Browsing. You will get nowhere near the advertsied 6 1/2 hours of talk time. 45 minutes if you're lucky. A phone which has a battery that doesn't allow you to make phone calls is worthless. REPEAT - DO NOT GET THIS PHONE!!
E50 the last of non N series is piculiar n faults, speaker turns on without press ad Fonts r tooo tiny to read, this aspect is so balatant where were the ThinkTanks when the tested or manufactured it.
Batt life is very average, why cant they invent what old models 3310 had.
Nokia must consider this forum The Best to Get Users response BUT they r arrogant======
I have to charge my E50 battery every 48 hours (2 days) even with very light use, is this normal? I thought the battery life is good.......I disagree
Does this phone support photo caller id? But the real photo caller id, over the entire width of the screen, not just the tiny non legible thumbnail! It is a very important feature of the phone for me, because I have to put the glasses on when someone calls me... I am used to this feature with cheap Siemens phones (like C65), and other models of the same brand.
this phone is vantastic it has all the features that one requires however the only fault is that the speaker goes quickly but other than that this phone is one of a kind
itssssssssssssssssss coollllllllll truly truly exactive classssssssssssss
