Its a big relief to see the positive reply.
Do I have to shell out extra money again to upgrade the firmware or is it something i can do on my own? or better question could you give some details on upgrading or can u tell me where on net i can find on my own?
I did some upgrading on my W810i. no problems.
One more stupid thing: when you transfer your contacts, (from other Nokia 6230i using the native PC Suite programme) it wouldn't transfer the default numbers, so if you have 3-4 numbers to every contact, you will have to wonder which one to call...It took me one week to fix my 1200 contacts...
On the other hand you can choose a ZIG-ZAG trajectory with cave reverberation to your 3D sound ringtone...
And it is supposed to be a business phone, for haven sake...
Before buying E51, if you have A LOT of contacts consider this:
There is a new stupid "feature" that will bring all names that contain the typed letter, sorted upsides down.
Suppose you look for JOHN and you type 'JO', you will get somthing like:
DANY AND JOHN
HENRY JOHN SERVICE
If you have 1200 contacts like me, you may have to spell the whole name in the search box and still have to browse few pages downs to get what you are looking for.
Absolutely very stupid...
If anyone knows a remedy to this, please to write at filip at balkanservices dot com

1. How is batte... more01) the battery life is very good. i get out 3 and a half days minimum from a single charge with sensible use.
02) signal and reception quality is good.
03) Camera is not really really bad but there's a slight green-ish tint with the old firmware. but after you upgrade it it will disappear. but if you're more focused on the camera quality you should consider something else.
04) nokia only assemble the pieces in china and paste a sticker MADE IN CHINA. (something i recently found out) Chinese manufacture their own brands such as BIRD and E-TEL and not very fond of nokia.
Some gripes I fixed pretty quick:
1. No built-in GPS: Just buy a small Bluetooth GPS receiver - Bluenext BN909GR or Holux M-1200 - both available on Ebay for 20-35 GBP.
2. No Timer/Stopwatch - Download and register BestTimer (http://www.softwaremarket.nokia.com/?action=productDetails&pID=3184&pmsid=283&lang=en) - It costs ~5 GBP. You can even set it up to appear on your Standby Bar for quick access.
3. You can get plenty of themes for free from http://www.mmcforums.net/theme/nokia-E51-themes.html, install and enjoy!
Any 1 of u using E51 already please answer.(I am thinking of buying this one)
1. How is battery life?
2. How is signal reception and call quality?
3. Is camera really bad?
4. I suppose v get china made sets here. is there any real difference between europe made and above ones really?
Thanks in advance to anyone who answers
Is anyone using the E51's UMA/VoIP functionality?
I live in Canada and Rogers (the mobile provider offers this service) - I am considering getting this phone to make use of the service and would like some feedback about the switching of wi-fi to gprs/cell network and vice versa.
My phone freezes as soon as I use Nokia maps ..... is there any other sofware I could use (With external GPS reciever) for navigation? Any solutions please?
I just bought this as a used phone, everything seems great in it until I discovered the very bad quality its camera has.. its images are very different than the ones posted here. It looked like the one in this link: http://flickr.com/photos/dennisbp/2701006102/sizes/o/ .. I am pretty sure it cant be Nokia E51 quality, so whats wrong? please anyone help asap before I return it back.

Can this phone notify you when you recieve an email like BlackBerry phones? without being connected through W/Lan all the time? Please someone explain. Thanks in advance.

am very grateful for my e51.
I wish next NOKIA item that you launch sophisticated.
Thanks for NOKIA.
To WINURA or anybody else who upgrade to firmware 200.34.36 from 100.34.20:
When recording a phone conversation with firmware 100.34.20, did you hear a beep every few seconds ?
Some people said it wasn't present in 100.34.20 but is now present in 200.34.36 and the recipient can hear the beep too and know they are being recorded.
