I worked for T-Mobile as a technical advisor and just recently acquired the handset last Sunday. I was originally given the black version which i deemed unattractive so I had it changed for the White Silver version which is more appealing and business like. The features are superb and packed with all the functions you would need in a phone. The best phone ever designed by Nokia to date. Cheers!
i hte this fone and i feel a big foool coz i bought it :( am feeling that i wasted my money on a thing that does not deserve :( :(
To all (who have heating problems),
I've read an article about the 'heating up issue' recently and in it they say the ones who face this problem are the ones who don't charge the phone properly.
further more it said if a phone is not charged in the proper way the user will experience poor battery life, heating up and it will shorten the chances of recharging as well. in other words if you can use a battery with proper charging for 1 year/12 months, not charging in the proper way will only let you use the battery for about 9 - 10 months.
and they recommend that phone should be charged while its switched off.
I've been doing this since the day i bought my phone and i think what they have mentioned is true. my methods are exactly the same as the ones they have published and i don't have the 'heating up' problem with my device.
My daily use is 5 to 6hrs but this phone never hot no doubt about battery Battery is fine After Nokia 7710 i like the battery of Nokia E90 then its E51 thats the great Phone by Nokia
I Love This Phone very Much
Just bought the E51! really good phone overall. Wi-FI works great sound quality is good, the only thing i am worried about is the buzzing sound that gets quite loud if the screen stays on for a long time, when u r browsing the net. Does anyone else have the same trouble?
In the past, I used to use Nokia6120. It consumes battery a lot. And while using, I feel it's hot. Does this NokiaE51 also becom hot while we using? Anybody knows? Please kindly share me your experiences. Thanks
this phone does support blackberry technology. i personally have posted 2 articles regarding that in detail to this forum. if you read carefully you will be able to find them.
if the site shows that the update for your phone is not yet ready you will have to wait until it is ready. keep checking the site at least once a week. hopefully they will release it for you soon.
Thank you. I tried it but did not work.
I guess we need to wait for a firmware update. The one on my phone is
Anything over 2GB is HC compliant. The reason is, standard SD cards are formatted in FAT and the new HC cards requires formatting in FAT32 because of the storage limitations of FAT.
i get a minimum of 4 and a half days with heavy usage. with normal use i have got up to about 6 days. so i think the battery life is very good for a symbian phone which has WiFi and so much more.
first of all check whether there are any applications (3rd party) running on your phone like a virus guard, call recorder or something like 'auto pilot'. to do so press and hold the "home" key for 2 seconds and the list of currently running software will be displayed. close them 1 by 1 and see whether it makes any difference.
the rebooting problem could be due to a firmware problem OR you must have installed unnecessary 3rd party applications which clashes with the phones' firmware.
Installing themes is not a big issue. all you have to do is download the themes you want to your computer and transfer them to the phone via data cable.
and this phone has a built in memory of over 100MB and normally comes with a 512MB memory card. The size may vary depending on your country.
