Best phone I've ever had, even though it has be repaired twice for voice speaker and keypad issues.
It's fast, and stable and it's like a dream to use. The keyboard is among the best I've typed as well, the only thing it lacks is a better camera with xenon flash.

E52 has no autofocus because it doesn't need one. Yes, it doesn't need one.
anything outside of the minimal focal length is clear and in focus.

Hi I haven't updated the E52's software/ firmware. The phone is working smooth without a single problem. Just wanted to know if anyone has suffered problem after updation. If not maybe I will go for the update.

vidmas, 12 Feb 2010Now we can update fw > 31.012 by FOTA. The problems with voice are fixedHow did you complete FOTA? I can never get it to work. Would you put a step by step list of how you did it?
Now we can update fw > 31.012 by FOTA. The problems with voice are fixed
Just what i wanted: regular old numeric keypad, on a smartphone with all features you'll actually need.
It's (basically) E75 without sliding QWERTY keyboard.
Excellent battery life. feels sturdy in the hand.
fast processor... list goes on...
Axel1203, 09 Feb 2010I take back what I said about the lagging issues when playing videos in E52.
I discovered m... morewht is the country of manufacture of ur phone? also, can u post the IMEI no. of ur phone?
noman, 09 Feb 2010boss i have same problem i am also confused
what phone i purchase E52 OR 5730XM,
BUT 1 probl... moreI think you do not understand, what you have bought... You can compare both handsets.
You just lost additional 500mAh on your battery;
you just lost document editor;
you just lost ARM 11 600 MHz processor (you have 369 MHz);
you just lost HSDPA, 10 Mbps
you just lost empty space in your pocket. XM is bigger than E52: -4 x 2 x 5,5 mm (I call it fat) and ofcourse heavy: +37g.
What you have gained:
better camera focus
full qwerty keyboard with micro keys
and 8 GB card included (which can be bought on every corner...nowdays).
And you can always buy your self a better earphones than nokia provides you with.
In my opinion, E52 is way better than 5730 XM
no more hanging in this phone yesterday i have update software after that it work like a cream.
To Andres - Even changing back the date doesn't help. I tried with 7 consecutive years up to 2004, but no use. Please suggest an alternative way to remove certificate error. Thanks in advance.
Anonymous, 10 Feb 2010any changes improvement updating the firmware???
can somebody guide me??????
desperately... morethe menu speed seems to be marginally faster, maybe by a couple milliseconds.
what i'm most anticipating is garmin mobile xt's stability. have not found chance to have long voice guided navigation yet. did try to crash it by rapidly zoom in and out the maps, and for the first time i reached the 1200km scale and able to stay there for back and fore scaling before crashing.
yes, it still crashes, but seems to be much less severe at least when i test by zooming the map.
the firmware upgrade was actually quite straight forward. all applications and settings were retained after the installation.
the upgrade wizard recommended one to perform backup before upgrade, yet the backup that was created have failed to restore after the installation is done.
i did not face another other problem that others were complaining about, except the instability of garmin xt.
you have got to bet on it, and if u look at the number of people complaining, it's not much compared to the number of units that nokia actually shipped..
