hello,i've got a question,plz answer me
i have a 5800XM
it freezes a lot
i wanna buy a nokia e52
is it better or not?
I do have the phone since a few days. I am very pleased with it. Well-designed phone, with large and comfortable keypad and bright, sharp and large screen. I have instaled the new firmware update. All went smoothly.
Fully featured phone. Perfect reception, clear hearing. I have installed Ovi maps. It's a pleasure to use the GPS and Ovi maps. Ovi maps are free but using drive/walk directions is a service to buy. Connection to wifi networks is fine, with one touch. Browsing the internet is easy.
The only minor negative thing is the phone becomes somtime slow, often when it wakes up from the standby state. However the phone has never frozen so far.
Ben@SG, 16 Nov 2009So many posts so I'm sorry for not reading back to older ones.. but would like to know if anyo... moreYes, it's a known issue. What I did was I removed the frame, then put it back together using a little adhesive.
As for the speed issue with the 16gb card.. please check authenticity of the card.. a lot of fake ones which causes data loss, and it's almost always 3-4 times slower than originals.
So many posts so I'm sorry for not reading back to older ones.. but would like to know if anyone else has problems with the frame being a little loose around the keypad. I remember reading it somewhere about a month ago? What can we do about it or rather what can Nokia do about it?
I love Nokia products, but the customer service in Singapore knows no shame. They gave me so much trouble and when I finally got too frustrated, they promised that a "manager" would call me back on the next business day, but no one ever did do that. Total shamelessness. Customer service?
Nokia, please get a new partner in Singapore to work with..! I have no trust in the current one you have here..
sim, 15 Nov 2009mmm, nah its just slow - because i have a 16gb memory card, it really slows it down - ive only... moreI also use a 16gb card (Sandisk), it's half full, and it's not slowing the phone down. Maybe it would help if you use the phone memory for your messages? I'm not sure what the problem is.

I love this phone! With the new firmware, you will get stability and more performance. The nokia E52 have all the uptodate software and it can be last long period in use. But kindly disturbing in my mind, will the nokia E72 have a much different? Except we know for the qwerty. Thx
cynthia, 09 Nov 2009Im due for an upgrade on my contract which phone i should choose between the Nokia E52,5800 Ex... moreI think you're better of with Nokia E52. I had 5800 XM. After three months of use, I got very tired of it. E52 is very great phone. It also has 8 preset equalizer same as 5800, but you won't find loudness option in it. It has great battery life. I'm sure you'll like it a lot. Well that's me.. You may try it. Thanks!
kgl, 13 Nov 2009does the E52 come with a reminder light to indicate missed calls or missed texts?yes it does
PS: The gold E52 is not going to be stocked for much longer as there is very little demand for this colour.
Apparently this is the same in other markets. People want black, will buy silver, but don't want poo brown!
The E52 can be purchased in Australia for $375.
It comes in gold, silver or black aluminium and has life-time license for the GPS.
The latest software (22.009) is also loaded - so there are no problems with this phone here.
The China made "MADE BY NOKIA" is the only one on sale here.
