Jayees, 03 Oct 2009Trf where did u purchase whats ur overall opinion of this?main likes and dislikes of thisIt is made in Korea. got it from a Nokia Store.
You can also get it in Play, they said it's also Korean Made.
what I like about it is the overall package.
I can't really give you any tips or the feel for it,
cuz if you have read my past comments and also the comments of others who have purchased it, this phone is a luck of the draw.
If you get a good one, here's the main points I'll give you:
600Mhz processor, 1 of the fastest if not the fastest Nokia to date. Faster than N95 and E71 for applications and games.
Battery Life, If you even turn on wifi, call, text, or play a couple of games every day, it would take some 5-7 days before recharging it.
iPhone uses the same 1500mah Li Po battery but will not even last you a day.
I like all its built in stuff, mainly the message reader, voice recorder. email client, office editor, gallery.
Some have said that the gallery is slow, but mine is not. Very smooth, very clean.
I've had the phone for almost a month now.
There's a lot of other niceties that I could discuss but I'll leave that for you to discover.
what I dislike or rather what is lacking for me.
the front frame could have been made aluminum, but hey the plastic one looks good all in all.
the camera could have had auto focus.
All in all it's a great business phone. If your looking for a slim, quick and efficient business phone, e52 will do the job.
If you can get a good one that is. ^_^
Goodluck in your purchase my friend, if you ever decide to get e52.
crow R, 03 Oct 2009This e52 & e55 how many RAM 128MB?both of this device have 128MB RAM.
E52 have about 30MB of free axecutable RAM :)
I have sent my Nokia E52 Back to online retailer amd had it replaced with the E55 and its much more stable.. See my earlier comments on the disaster E52

yup, that's one.
using the camera and moving it too fast can crash it too.
some have experienced it via the gallery.
there's a lot of factors.
so this is most likely a software issue and not hardware related.
though someone has hinted here that the battery connector might be a culprit too.
In anny case, keeping it at factory default and not changing settings too much, until a new firmware is updated, would help stabilize your e52s.
Also refrain from changing the default 1GB Card.
Better to wait for them to fix this issue.
just wondering about something. do the crashes/freezes caused by the rotation sensor? by default it's off. the 1st day I received my set back from the service center, I kept it at off. the phone was OK. but on the 2nd day, I switched it on. the phone crashed in the evening. how do u guys think?
I have mine for about 2 weeks now, so far only charged it once (!), I use it for a medium amount of hours everyday, listening to radio, mp3s, a bit of email checking and wifi and ~30 mins calls/day. No camera usage at all.
So far I had zero crashes, restarts or any issues for that matter. Working perfectly. It was bought in Greece, made in Finland.
just got an e52 two nights ago... so far so good... excellent phone... been tinkering with it for two days/nights so far no problem at all...
excellent companion for my e61i...
I will take it back 2 NPC, but it will take 2-3 weeks for the repairation.
mac, 02 Oct 2009just sharing my experience of having my Nokia E52. warning: it's a bit long story :p I had it... moreI have been waiting for this phone from 4 months and its very disappointing to hear that e52 has so many problems... What i don't understand is dint Nokia test this model before releasing it?
The negative stories about E52 is worse than any horror movie.
just sharing my experience of having my Nokia E52. warning: it's a bit long story :p
I had it for about a month now. bought it where I currently live now, Malaysia. everything was great at the beginning. just a minor defect: the metallic front frame was a bit loose, but it's OK. I tested everything: e-mail, music player, wifi, GPS, camera, N-Gage, etc and I loved it.
then it started showing odd behavior. sometimes it went off by itself in my pocket. at first I thought that the power button were accidentally pressed. then I make sure that the keypad was locked before putting it to my pocket. but it still switched off sometimes. it's still ok since I can just switch it back on.
unfortunately, it's getting worse. I had problems re-starting it. it freezes at the Nokia logo. sometimes it's switched back off and I had to press the power button again. however sometimes I had to take the battery out then restarted it.
after about 1 week, it was the first time I needed to charge the phone (great battery). unfortunately it hanged again in the middle of charging :(
then after about 10 days I had it, it just could not be re-started. sometimes it said memory full, even though I still had about free 35 MB of phone memory and about 350 MB of memory card. and sometimes it just said "start up failed. contact retailer".
I tried googling and tried the key combination to reset the phone (the green button, key "3", "*", and power). nothing happened. it still freezes. and every time I had to take the battery out after each freeze.
then I tried removing the battery, sim card, memory card and left it the whole night. in the morning, I tried restarting it again and it worked again. I was so happy. but not for long though.. it hanged again in the evening :(
so I decided to bring it to the service center. at first they tried to reset and re-flash it. no avail. so they kept the phone for further investigation including the possibility of hardware problem. and later on I found out that they needed to send it to their HQ. and this week it's ready. I picked it up and tried it up (the front frame was still loose though). I found up that the free phone memory is higher than before. it worked fine and smooth... only for 2 days :( again it went off in my pocket and could not be re-started. aarrggghhhh....
so now I have to bring it back to the service center. and this time I'm going to ask for replacement. I'll update later after I go to the service center.

Here in Bangladesh it is not easy get da phone changed from Nokia Centers. Though they gave warranty for one year but due their poor professionalism I have to spent most of my time for it. One of my previous N86 is still with (about one month) them to be replaced. If I ont get my E52 serviced by them then I have to tink for any brand oher than Nokia. Okey may be this week I will go Nokia.....
