E52 fan, 26 Aug 2009hi guys,
give ur opinion. which 1 to choose from n79 and e52.

First of all, I previously had the 6300 and I'm yet to see a display as good as that. Even GSMArena had to commend it saying it has an enchanting display. Don't count your chickens hoping to find a similar display right here and now.
In terms of reliability, clear calls and good battery backup you should consider E-Series.
Just hold out until I get the E52 (hopefully tomorrow) and I will give you my advice whether you should get it or not.
Before I even get the E52 to review, one thing I don't like is the lack of a dedicated CONTACTS key which E51 has.
I know the other 2 dedicated keys (e-mail and calendar) can be re-configured to be used as a 'contacts' key but it's better to have an exclusive dedicated key for contacts...because both e-mail and calendar keys are handy to have as well.
does anybody facing problems with WiFi?
There are some wifi networks which doesn't work. I mean, if I'm useing computer, then it all ok. But when I will try to connect internet with E52, it sometimes even doesn't show me, that this network is there. Also if I finally can choose that wifi spot, then it never will open any webpages.
I tried with WEP coded way and without it, but still same.
Sometime E52 is telling me that there are somekind of system error but sometime there will be just white screen and its it.
But as I said it doesn't have those problems with all wifi spots.
Any idea, what should I do, would be nice :)

I'm surprised that you said the E52 loudspeaker volume during a call as well as ringing volume is lower than E51's.
I'm not saying you don't know what you are saying, not saying that at all but the thing is that GSMArena's review of the E52 would indicate that the loudspeaker call volume and ringing volume is louder than E51...with only the music playback volume of E52 being the only thing that's lower than E51's.
According to GSMArena, the E52's loudspeaker volume during a call is 1dB louder than E51. While the ringing volume is 4.5dB louder than E51. Finally the audio playback is said to be 1.1dB LOWER than E51...all these from GSMArena's tests.
I really need to get the E52 to do my own tests.
Rajesh, thanks for all your input nevertheless.
Check the link which shows the AUDIO RESULTS CHART from GSMArena's review:

Also if you play music or video speaker volume on E52 is low in comparision to E51.
E51 sound quality is really good, but E52 is not bad either as people have been complaining.
Today its my 5th day since I charged my phone only 2 bars are down. Still 5 more bars to go. Amazing.
I'm tired of emphasizing that when it comes on to high-tech cellular phones, telephony is primarily first and foremost and everything else is secondary.
Nokia have proven time and time again that they put telephony first. They don't sacrifice telephony for the bells and whistles.
Seeing that the E52 is the successor to the E51...and seeing that the E51 was close to being the perfect phone...I will be doing some vigorous and extreme comparisons between the two phones. I will run serious tests beyond GSMArena's very own review.
My last comment of the day:
Take any 240 x 320 screen and compare it to a bigger screen. It will look poor in comparison.
Now compare a smaller screen to your 240 x 320 screen.
Suddenly, your 240 x 320 screen looks very good.
So to summarise, the E52 screen is good. No worse and no better than any other 240 x 320 screen as it is IMPOSSIBLE for the resolution to go any higher as there is only so many pixels you can fit within a physical space.
The max resolution of 240 x 320 means text and images will be slightly contorted compared to a screen with double the pixels.
Without comparing the two side by side though, you would never, ever know or even realise...
So it's yet another non-issue.
And this is from someone who surfs the web on his E52 a lot and has a HTC Diamond as his second phone... Screen resolution and fidelity is limited to physical size. It is not a case of "poor screen", but current technology that means we cannot physically fit pixels into a smaller area. So your 240 x 320 screen is as good as it's going to get.
If you want better clarity, get a bigger screen. Not that you would realise anyway...
jetson, 25 Aug 2009E52 mobile is good but one fault is no good cam . second one is display clarity is very bad
i... moreWhy people bang on about the camera is beyond me. Seriously, what exactly are you photographing that makes image quality such a misnomer that it justifies a cameraphone but NOT a standalone camera? It really is a mystery to me.
Even a "good" cameraphone will only give adequate shots in GOOD light. As soon as light deminishes, the sensors they use are so tiny, image quality becomes terrible.
To make problems worse, there is only so much glass you can fit in a 15mm thick CLOSED lens, so again, how can you possibly expect decent image quality? The E52 is just under 10mm thick. The mere fact you can even take photos is an achievement in itself...
So why make such a big fuss? Surely, with what I have mentioned above, if you want a cameraphone, image quality is clearly of no concern to you. You want a cameraphone for convenience (utility shots only) and saving money (i.e. you don't have to buy a standalone camera), the trade off being image quality.
And if image quality is that important to you, why are you even considering a cameraphone? That's like me thinking I know it all about automobiles, wanting a performance car that is fast, buying a Ford Fiesta and then moaning that it can't break 60 - without realising I knew nothing about performance cars in the first place.
The main reason for cameraphones is to take a TINY image which you can easily send to a friend via MMS, email or bluetooth. It is not designed to give you stunning shots that will win you a Pulitzer.
For that, you might want to consider something called a DSLR camera.
Even compact camera's these days give excellent image quality. And I think this is clearly what the camera b*tches want as they never, ever seem to talk about anyhing to do with communicating, which is the primary function of these devices...

Bought it one week ago. Was working perfectly fine until today - the display went black. No way to turn it on again. I read several forums - it happens and hard/soft restart doesn't bring solution - you need to visit service. I thought my model will be more reliable.
There is a converter from mini charging jack to MicroUSB in the box...
not recommended upgrade if you have e51. camera is rubbish. e51 has better algorithm processor thus clearer picture. the led flash doesn't do anything but white out the picture (used indoors).
it takes a while to get accustomed to new menu settings and keys.
new way to lock/unlock phone.
new earphone jack size = standard. sound is nothing better than e51.
usb cable is in new size the same as the charger slot. so your old nokia (or any generic) usb cable wouldn't fit and your old chargers wouldn't fit as well. old accessories are useless.

yes, it does charge through USB though only through a microUSB cable, not the mini ones that are more common.
Very unusual for Nokia till now but hopefully more and more in the future. :D
I heard this handset charges through usb, is that true? If that's so, why there hasn't been anything on the review? Is it something usual for all of nokia?
