E52 launched in Singapore for 535 SGD or 373 USD (incl. gst). When will it be available in India?
IM, H, 07 Aug 2009Hi guys, I get E52 and its amazing phone, but I have small problem, after first time turned on... moreHi i had the same problem when i got my new E75 with my old sim but as soon as i got sim update from the network(they gave me new sim) for the phone the problem was solved . That flashing is to do for emailing
Thanks a lot, I try to delete all my inbox messages and its work,
Regarding my question about to get internet to my mobile through the USB cable from a computer, sure I was not mean to use my mobile as a USB modem.
Sure I have PC desktop with 21” screen, and fast DSL Internet, but the aim of my question not to replace my E52 screen by 21” screen, sure no body will do it, but since many applications inside E52 like MAPS, GPS, file on ovi, Traveler, and more require internet connection, and since I want to try this applications, so I need internet connected to my E52, and I was thinking of a way to get internet to my mobile through my DSL connection, I think the best way to buy wireless router and to plug it beside my DSL modem,
But still I want to know if there is possible way to get internet to my mobile through the USB cable from a computer and this computer is connected with DSL internet….( I think the answer is no)
i was wondering should i get this phone? or a older phone Nokia 6220 classic? and im wondering can u get this in black? if so link me cause i cant see to find it but ive seen pictures and videos review with this phone and its black? http://media.photobucket.com/image/Nokia%20E52/66mobile/nokia/nokia-e52.jpg

You people always talking about GSMArena needing to review the E52.
... moreI agree you Original Jamaican and we have tolerance
but i think and its my opinion that it had took a long time. Its better they spend more tome for the review and we have one with many details and results about the device but the people already wait a long time.
Im more angry about Nokia for there late releasing =)

You people always talking about GSMArena needing to review the E52.
You can't expect them to play with it for a day and then review it.
They normally spend a few weeks with a new phone before reviewing it.
Check out the first paragraph from the legendary Nokia 6230 review and make note of the VERY LAST SENTENCE of the paragraph:
"I have been longing for a phone like Nokia 6230 for a long time. All existing models have been made with a lot of compromises: one model was lacking in one thing, another one was lacking in something else. But Nokia 6230 has everything. This article is meant to inform you about my experience over a few weeks."
That was quoted from the GSMArena editorial review.
It's annoying see people telling GSMArena to review certain phones. They will BUT not when we tell them to.
Expect to see the review shortly because I know more than likely they have been running tests on it for more than a week now.
I think now its time that GSM ARENA should work on a REVIEW about the E52 and E55 because its now avalaivable in many countries. The impression of users are importan but wee need TESTS about these devices.
We have so many interested people into these both handys so it should be a high priority to begin with a REVIEW!
Prasat Preah Vihear , 07 Aug 2009Ok buddy. Could you please help us out what exactly is the CPU speed of e52? I need to get one... moreTo PRASAT PREAH VIHEAR:
If Nokia says the CPU speed is 600MHZ then it's 600MHZ. Stop fretting over it.
IM, H, 07 Aug 2009Hi guys, I get E52 and its amazing phone, but I have small problem, after first time turned on... moreYou have never tested the E51's Wi-Fi, no problem. Well I have used the E71's Wi-Fi on several occasions and to me the E71 and E51's Wi-Fi seems to have the very same antenna. I have never noticed a difference in reception between E51 and E71.
The first person that I know of in this forum who said he got the E52 (PAUL) said the E52's Wi-Fi is on par with the E71 so there are mixed feelings about this which means I need to test it for myself.
Thanks for replying just the same.

It's because you have probably moved your sim card from an S40 device and are now using it on a S60 device.
On S40, messages are first of all saved on your SIM, and this is no doubt full. So to remove this icon, you will have to delete all of your messages.
You asked: "can I get internet to my mobile through the USB cable from a computer?"
That doesn't make sense. That's like asking "can I cycle 60 MPH if I attach my bicycle to my car?".
Why would you want to use such a small screen and constrained method of navigating, when you will have at least a 12" screen in FRONT of you, with keyboard, mouse and a browser that can read all online programming protocols? It's a good definition of the word 'pointless'.
If you meant to say, "can I use my mobile as a USB modem?" (assuming you do not have an internet connection through the landline), then the answer is yes. Install the Nokia PC Suite and you can then use your mobile as a dial up modem @ 3 or 3.5G speeds, assuming your location supports that technology/speed.
However, be aware of the costs and that browsing speeds can be as slow or slower than the old (land line) dial up if you are in a poor reception area. Mobile broadband on cell-phone intended sim cards are NOT meant or allowed to be used as USB modems through a PC. You are usually only allowed to access the web through your mobile (e.g. using Opera) as the browsing data is tiny compared to that when using a computer that renders everything as normal and uses up far more bandwidth.
Hence, you can end up with your service being terminated or even unfair usage charges.
That's at least the case here in the UK.
Hope that helped.
Had owned and been using the E51 since the past 1year. Loved the E51 and then read up on the E52. Was awaiting its arrival and finally when it arrived, I purchased it and ever since, have considered it as one of the worst purchases ever. Following are my pros/cons:
-Battery life doubled. It is now very impressive
-Has a flash and 3.2MP camera which takes decent pics
-Speed: said to be much much faster but not true. IMHO it is much slower at times.
-Buttons badly placed as wrong buttons often get pressed
-SIP profiles like Gizmo?!?!? Doesnt work like E51
-Flimsly back cover
-SMS and Email not under single messaging head. Very annoying!
-Basically a REAL DISAPPOINTMENT!!
Ok buddy. Could you please help us out what exactly is the CPU speed of e52? I need to get one but i see it's confusing.
Thanks in advance.
Hi guys, I get E52 and its amazing phone, but I have small problem, after first time turned on I got a small envelope indicator just beside the battery level, and its blinking all time, I check my inbox for any new or unread message but I found no new or unread message. Does anybody know how to remove this.
Second can I get internet to my mobile throw the USB cable from a computer.
The WIFI speed/signal might be good when u look at E52 only, but when u compare it with N82 and E71, it lacks as ive mentioned. Try getting either of these 2 phones and test it out and you will know. Never tried with E51 so im not sure, sorry.
