hey hari, i think the phone will be launched by the end of this month, coz i called up the reliance tech store guys, nokia priority guys, the hotspot ppl, every one said that it is most likely to be available before the month end... i hope what they said is tru.. coz i am reallly interested in buying this phone and cant wait any longer...
and as to the price can be anywhere bw 15.5k to 17k...
hope for the lowest price [:D]
I think it will be awonderfull mobile as its more easy to use in Comparison to e63 & e71, but i want to know when this mobile will be available in egypt and its cost , will it be more cheaper than e75 or the same
Does the presence of accelerometer guarantee the use of this fone for motion sensitive gaming..like the ipod touch or iphone..
It would be real fun if thats so..
The main reason why nokia has not marketed this fone is to allow for sufficient time to sell their E75..
E55 has got pretty much everything that E75 has got with a cheaper price.
I dont expect Nokia to start selling it any sooner..Though i wish it doesn't occur..:(

Khaled, 11 May 2009Its something strange that I am waiting this phone to be released, but when i look into nokia(... moreHI, I am living in ME like you and I can tell you that Middle East is one of the major target locations. Do not worry. I am waiting for it too.
Available in late June in Romania (Most likely in most European countries too)
Yes it has an accelerometer (so if u turn on its side, screen will turn too). It also has a magnetometer (for smooth compass).
I'm also eagerly awaiting this phone. It has everything my E71 lacks (3.5mm jack, S60 FP2, 600mhz processor) and in turn the E55 misses only 1 thing -> the fully qwerty. But it's hybrid that's ok too.
I live in Benelux and it will not be released here, but I'm just waiting for a release somewhere else in the world that has compatible frequencies.
I'm just worried that because they are taking so long to release, that it will be exlusive to some tele-operator. Which means branded and locked and less favorable for import.
Does this phone have an accelorometer (screen roatation when the phone is turned on its side)? If not and I doubt it has, I will get the Nokia N79.
I doubt they will release this cell now...?
how long more to wait..
