raj, 13 Jul 2011can any body tell, is there vedio calling is possible through skype on E6No, If you try this the phone is hang even if you try voice chat with Skype.
I purchased my brand new Nokia E6-00 from Nokia...the touch is awesome no doubt in it but it has few bugs like
1- Battery wont give you more than 1 day backup if you're using it
2- You can't mail more than 2 MB attachment with Nokia Email Client.
3- It doesn't have auto-focus which is a basic feature in Nokia E72.
And I believe this mailing attachment problem can be solved but not the battery backup issue and camera issue.
Reply if any questions / post
I buy this Nokia E6 phone on very first day of launch in Pakistan, I really disappointed to buy this and its my 3rd experience with Nokia expensive sets like E52(Hang and restart problem) E72(Hang and restart problem) and now E6 is a same problem I think Nokia only want to sail his phones and don't want to fix the problems now my experience for Nokia phones is wasting of money if you want to buy expensive phones don't buy NOKIA.
can any body tell, is there vedio calling is possible through skype on E6
Ahmad Usman Khan, 13 Jul 2011when will its price fall by the 15% stated by nokia? if anyone has any idea please let me know... moreReuters reports the Finnish handset giant has cut the wholesale cost of many of its top models including the N8 in Europe by 15%, while other models saw smaller price cuts.
I think the camera is full focus as i read it on Nokia.com
You can check it here
Original-Jamaican, 12 Jul 2011To RAZVYYY: More than likely Nokia will release a firmware update to fix the light notifica... moreNo chance, it is a phone problem, because the material it's not transparent, look at the E72 it's a transparenk plastic where the notification light is. So no chance sometinhg like that to be fixed.
i love this handset...better than e71 and e72.
only for those business users who are interested in macro shots this mobile will be useless otherwise its a great handset from nokia.
rajesh, 12 Jul 2011is opera mobile 11 available for this phone? I think opera mobile is unavailable for symbian anna.opera mobile 11 and opera mini6.1 are available for e6...i prefer using opera mobile11...its works like charm
I am not able to use Nokia Messaging Push Email on this phone. E6 is not shown among compatible devices in www.nokia.com/messaging. Any idea how to enable push email
rajesh, 12 Jul 2011can i install s60v3 and s60v5 softwares on it?there is only a limited off app but ANGRY BIRDS is working but space is limited.
This phone is just an upgrade of Nokia E72 and might think about twice first before buying.
Nokia E6 needs a lot of things to be fixed.
Miscall notifications light is not visible.
Few apps available for Nokia E6, hopefully it could be hacked.
Camera maybe appreciated though this is a business phone.
Hassle of using the lock key in the slide rock, you can unlock manually using the D pad then press unlock.
miscall notification is not very visible unlike to e72,,,it is only visible in a very dark room...
vijay@rdx, 12 Jul 2011its a verry good handset for use. u will get all things in this one handset ........its quertt... moreI bought my E6 a few days ago and am VERY DISAPPOINTED and tonight I returned to my E71 until Nokia decides to fix certain problems... Yes, the E6 is a glamorous and smart device. BUT, because there's a HUGE BUT about this phone, it lost one of the major advantages Nokia (and other producers) used to have over the Blackberry with this new E6. That is that the E6 it DOES NOT have an extremely useful function that all of the other Nokia devices have: the "Waiting" notification that one usually gets when he/she calls someone who is already involved in another phone conversation. This useful function that all other Nokia phones have but the E6 does not normally allow one to see that the person they're calling is engaged in another conversation, thus possibly decide not to bother the other person by calling endlessly... The E6 does not have that (I checked it with Nokia Support) so at this point they lost the advantage they had over Blackberry with this important function... Moreover, the battery life, although publicized to be some 50 percent longer than in the E71 for example is actually some 30-40 percent shorter... I'd return this phone back to the shop asap if I could... I paid for it 400 euros 4 days ago and would immediately sell it for 300 or even less simply because it doesn't have this function... WHat a crap policy Nokia is having these days...!
