After using it for 2 days, here are my short comments.
- good price (at last nokia made something worth it price)
- superb business tools
- easy to use
- 3g umts data speed is excellent (well.. anyphone with 3g is having a better speed than gprs/edge though ;P)
- no camera (waiting for this so long)
- not "that" heavy
- wide screen
- good battery life, comparing to those HTC's.
- multitasking...and that's what PALM and samsung should learn a lot.
- No Touchscreen (what's wrong with TS, nokia?).
Like to hear from others...:)
hi thanks for the advice, i got it 2 work ok, so cool, the phone is gr8 and i love it!! does anyone know if tom tom sat nav work? or what sat nav system work?? coz i wanna get the sat nav working asap, thanks!!
hey robert, u dont have to download pics to fit the screen, u can make some with a simple photo editing tool. all u need is to resize and crop.
its the best phone for bussiness... someone asked about m600, but let me tell you this, the only good thing about m600 its touchscreen,,, i prefer a thousand times nokia e61. its faster, and it has more applications...
The honeymoon is over.
When I first got the phone I was very impressed however as I get to know it better I find the phone to have many software bugs in the area of wireless and blackberry connectivity. Eg software deleting access points, blackberry being disabled, unable to change some settings like the message indicator light, VOIP does not work.
If they can sort out these bugs before it damages the reputation it will be a great phone.
Hi does anyone know if you can download any pictures that are as big as the e61 screen?coz so far the max strech, is not as big as the screen as this is a bit annoying.. my email: email@example.com
get the cheapes symbian phone at least to get use to symbian not to see if you like but to get confortable with it and you will see tha multitask is excellent with nokia and specially on the n80 n92 and the e series dual browser .
The features betwean the two phone would make blackberry users react for alot of things .but peopeles like to keap things simple .when i started to using palm os or symbian os i had a computer in my hands ,and that's what scares peopeles is when they think that it will be comlicated this is just symbian not pocket pc do not go there man wow once you learned a few trick with symbian youre off to everry other symbian models with the same base features this os offeres
Its not a full blackberry with pin but this devise has symbian os with blackberry i am a symbian uer it's parfect for ovvery thing else than taking pictures and the blackberry plans are more affordable
Inead a E61 beckause it,s handy when you have a n80 and a blackberry
There is now way else but to install skype on symbian phone and have intill the official skype application comes out for a couples mounths we just have to wait
If fone come black, me likey! If fone no come black me non likey!!!
Hey Im seriously contemplating this phone it really seems to be an incredible powerhouse of a device however I was wondering if anyone had it and felt like it was just too big also is it easy to carry or at least comfortably
Scroll down a bit, and there you'll find some additional themes.
Do you know where I can download additional themes for E61? I have tried Zedge, but it does not seem to be compatible.
Also, the wallpapers do not match the resolution of E61.
1. Does it support Skype VOIP?
2. How do I configure it with Lotus Notes Domino server to access my office mails?
I agree with you guys too.
I want the phone, because I can use internet with it, I can watch movies with it (it has a larger screen), it's faster and slightly compacter than my current phone.
I don't need a camera, but do need Symbian, because I really think it's handy to be able to download programs and other stuff for your phone.
So that's why I've decided, to buy it! :P
