Here's a couple of short clips of the browser in action (albeit filmed by a monkey). The guy seems to be having a little trouble navigating the sceen in the first one and struggles with glare in the second! Anyways... http://www.slashphone.com/118/4278.html
Delayed globally or for a specific region or service provider?
I'm on Vodafone in England. I'm eagerly waiting for this phone, it looks cool. Currently using my wifes old D500 as my SE K700i joystick no longer scrolls down and it keeps shutting down mid-call.
vjleon11, at least Nokia has started delivering these phones to retailers. It's out in Finland now.
Does anyone know when it is going to be launched in Hong Kong? In the Nokia site only appears the E60, and it would be launched on the second quarter. So we are now on the second quarter. I need Chinese recognition and typing, if not, I would buy it in Europe right now.
Phone is released and have started shipping as of last week. Google E61 news for more
Yup they both did a good job, I can only imagine what this year would be for cellphones, they are getting so powerful!
Both phones (SE M600 and Nokia E61) go to the same user, and the final user will select the more apropiate phone for him.
Both phones are excellents.
Good job Nokia and Sony Ericsson
Handwriting recognition can be pain at times... its like hit or miss. If you are like me who has messy handwriting, handwriting recognition doesnt work.
That being said, about Screen, what do you need 16 million colours are not enough for you? What you need a SONY WEGA in your cellphone... i dont and you dont have to agree here as well
In terms of touch screen, I will say yes it is very useful to have a touch screen and I think thats where this phone will lack... however, I have used both (qtek 9100 and BB)... I am comfortable with both!
WiFi is the unique feature that E61 have over M600, and for me WiFi is useless in a phone because screen and memory if you are a downloader person. I prefer use my laptop or tablet PC.
M600 support Memory Stick M2 micro, a mini SD equivalent and support up to 2Gb.
It doesn't have wifi, I am not sure if it has a SDIO card to add one, but for me WIFI is great cuz most places I go has wifi, so less data charges!
M600 is More convenient because:
UiQ is a LOT better, reliable, personalized than Series 60.
Touchscreen to easy navigation between menus and sub-menus and other functions.
And mi opinion is: I go with M600
How do you know its more convinient?
You do realize what you are basically saying is your opinion? So, next time you make a comment like that - say "In my Opinion"
Do not generalize. SE makes great phones, so does Nokia. It depends on the user what they want!
M600 is more convenient, more lighter. The difference is WiFi, but M600 has touchscreen, handwriting recognition and symbian UiQ
