YES! Unlike older Nokia phones, this one will let you listen to your music through your bluetooth headset if it's connected. If you want it to switch over to loudspeaker mode, simply disconnect the bluetooth. I can only guarantee that this will work with a Plantronics 340 bluetooth headset, which is what I have. I'm sure it'll work for any bluetooth headset, though!
can anyone tell me if i can use a bluetooth handset and listen to any tracks or songs stored in my phone over the bluetooth handset. is it possible in this version of bluetooth installed on the phone . cheers PLEASE LET ME KNOW
Hey (karyna), the e61i has GPS?? You said, "I have yet to exhaust all of its features, though, but those features that I have explores, Quickword, GPS, camera, messages, web, etc., are great"
This phone is quite the number...being an extraordinary, embellished piece of device, any wizkid could ask for.
However, please don't patronize Nokia as they make cheap quality phones that have nice exteriors, but garbage interiors.
The processors date back to what Sony was using five-six years ago. Dont patronize mainstream brands....but instead, get high-quality, value-for-money phones that will last a lifetime and customer-supportive, such as Pantech (short for Panda-tech), VK Mobile, Qtek, and of course, Bird (also known as Flytech in certain countries) phones.
hi guys.. this is an amazing fone.. everytime i look at it, i wanna own it..how much does it cost in India ?
Forgot to mention that the E61i can connect to the PC and can transfer files to and from PC and smartphone. Having this backup saves people the headache of lost files and/or lost phones. Also [erratum] I meant to say "those features that I have explored" and not "explores". You must get this phone!
I just bought a Nokia E61i phone and I find it wonderful in all respects. I have yet to exhaust all of its features, though, but those features that I have explores, Quickword, GPS, camera, messages, web, etc., are great. Can research on the go, freewrite, compare retail prices from the mall and online. Plus, the multiple connectivity choices are really appealing.
i am just wondering if this phone is also as slow as the e61. please update me on the processor speed difference
Yeah I have read your review and others too b4 deciding to buy E61i. The batt only last me around 1.5 days.
Somehow I dont hear the beep for low batt while I am talking on the phone. By the way I am using bluetooth handsfree. Now I am wondering could it be the battery is faulty since the phone can just shut off suddenly while I am talking & I didnt hear any beep sound.
There is no option to set the Notification light to blink for voice messages.
There is also a software bug connected to the email key.It keeps launching the web browser even after you have installed Blackberry Connect and configured the email key.
Make sure the phone is not on silent and it should beep like any other phone when the battery is low. Btw you can view my review of the E61i here:
I just got my E61i few days ago. I realised the phone does not ALERT or BUZZ the user when the battery is running low. I called the service centre & was informed that Nokia E61i series does not have this alert feature. I was surprised to hear this. Can anyone clarify this for me?
This phone is targeted towards the business audience. We've made it more slimmer and compact in comparison to the previous Nokia e61. The Nokia e61 was covered in plastic while this mobile handset is covered in stainless steel. A 2 megapixel camera has been also added along with many software updates.Anyone who is wondering if this mobile handset is music oreintated-it is. There is an amazing media player and the speakers have been tested and work really well. This phone is great for watching videos and is great for Wi-fi. Look forward to the n81 if you like to play games a lot and listen to music with 8GB built in memory. Also look forward for the n82, which features Wi-fi, a 5megapixel camera with Xenon flash and integrated protection. That's all the specs I'll tell you guys. These new handsets will come out at the end of 2007 (December), and they will cost more than 500 dollars. By the way, I'm from Germany. I hope this information helps.
can anyone tell me whether it's difficult to change the input languages on these, and what input languages come with the stock american key layout (i.e., no åöä, etc.).
i'm on the fence, but if i could easily switch between swedish, icelandic, german and english i'd be all over this.
Migrated from Nokia 9500 and Hp 6365, No doubt its a Wonder Phone , wish if it had a webcam in front like 3G would have been More Better.
you E61i users and not only could find these links very useful:
Many of you may find this software useful IM+: AIM/ iChat, MSN/ Live Messenger, Yahoo!, ICQ, Jabber and Google Talk for all S60 Phones and you can find it at this link http://software.gsmarena.com/product.asp?id=250

Getting Yahoo! and Hotmail to work on this thing... well... Hotmail is not possible since Hotmail no longer allows POP access. If you can somehow install Outlook onto this phone, you can probably utilize the HTML email option that outlook has. Other than that, you can try looking for a program that'll make it work without having to find a mobile version of outlook that'll install on this.
As for Yahoo! Mail, as far as I know, POP access requires you to upgrade your free membership to one where you must pay. I do know that for my friend's Blackberry phone, however, the phone already handled Yahoo! emails. Not sure how that works, but this phone isn't a Blackberry.
