i just bought nokia e63 black edition last june 21.. and i can say that for me:
pros: qwerty keypads, somehow lightweight, 3.5mm jack, user friendly, affordable i just bought it for only Php 11,300 here in the philippines, dedicated keys,
cons: camera, others say that the navi key is the first to fade, always prompt certificate error while installing so secured :], lacks gps, sounds it has argh. i dont know how to describe. just listen to it when you have one, no dedicated keys for volume, power, the earphone cover is not attached to the unit itself,
i think that's it
overall, so far i am satisfied with this phone. highly recommended phone :]

Aqeel, 16 Jul 2009Hi Guys,
After reading full proff reviews and doing some research, I finally opted to buy t... moreCan you update it again.
Is your phone being recognised by the PcSuite now?
If it is being recognised by the software updater also, you can reinstall the software and everything will be fine.
After reading full proff reviews and doing some research, I finally opted to buy the Nokia E63! It was just a few hours since I opened up the sealed box and started using the phone I decided to install the PC suite and synchrioze my phone with my laptop. All was pleasing until I donwloaded the software updater from the Nokia website and started to update the firmware ofcourse for improving the overall performance as I am quite a heavy user who likes software utilization, integration and sending and receiving emails all the time! The update proess started and my phone screen went all blank, not to worry as I read it on the Nokia website that this will happen as the previous memory is erased and the updates start taking place. The file is about 108 MB which apparently tkes about 15 to 20 minutes to get installed appropriately, everything was going fine but as this process was about to finish the installation bar reaching its ending stage - the phone kept on getting disconnected with the laptop and the installation got interrupted in between. The software tried to resume installation but that was not meant to happen, I disconnected the phone and still appreared that blank shiny white display, nothing would happen in spite of me trying to do everything. I had plug out and then plug in te battery expecting the phone would work but it turned on with teh same blank screen this time just turning on for a few seconds and then dissapearing off switching off the mobile!
Anyopne knows what is wrong with the phone as it does not seem to start at all.
Need some expert advise.
Highly appreciate all your help.
