My hands-on experience on this phone compared to e71 is that e71 has 3.2MPix camera, with subcamera for videocalls, and it's HSDPA ready, with GPS and A-GPS...
that's by far what I know... XD
any owner of the fone here? coz the specs here put out the navi wheel on the fone. any owner here can bring some light into it?
Jaymee (Philippines), 02 Jan 2009I was at the mall (SM Manila) awhile ago, and I noticed this phone immediately. I suddenly ask... moreHi Jaymee. I'm planning to get this unit. Does this support the push email feature (Blackberry)?
Thanks in advance.
i want to purchase the E63 at Rs 13,900 but a few questions (i dont want to pay Rs 20,000 for E71)
-why is HSDPA not inbuilt in E63, while it is in E51?
-why it is not 3.5G while E51 and E71 has?
-whats nokia thinking when it takes HSDPA & 3.5 out of E63 while it is at a lower priced E51?
-is E51 better than E63?
-since E63 has S60 third edition, feature pack 3 (same as E71) isnt it better thatn E51 and E61i/
-is nokia coming up with a new version of E51?
-can ppt be edited in E63, i have heard word and xls files can be, so as the email?
-can one find better business phones in the range Rs 10,000 to 14,000 than E63?
-since 5800 is the only S60 5th edition, can be tweak/hack and do email and edit files like E-series; then it would be better
hi. i just wanna let you guys know that this is a nice phone specially when you are used to type in a qwerty keyboard phones. its lighter than e71 coz the casing is made of plastics but thicker. Let’s compare e71, e61i & e63.. in terms of text input, e63 is much better than the 2 because of the size of the keyz.. e61i is wider so if your hand(fingers) is a bit small, I’m sure you'll find it difficult to reach the keys q, a, z, p, backspace and enter key.. the e71 has a small keys so if you have a big hands(fingers), I’m pretty sure u’ll hate the keypad of the e71 coz of its size. The e63 stands in the middle of the 2. The keypad(qwerty keyboard) is really ergonomically designed for better text input. Let’s just say its “one size fits all” hehe. The OS of e71 and e63 is pretty much the same which is much faster than the e61i. in terms of camera, e71 is the champ.. the camera of e61i and e63 is just the same. To sum it all up, if you want a qwerty phone with a nice “big” & “wide” screen and has a solid finish, go for the nokia e61i. if you want a qwerty phone with good camera (front and back), nice and slim metal body case and money is not an option, go for the nokia e71. If you want a good qwerty phone, has a standard 3.5mm audio output jack, with better signal reception and cheap, go for the new nokia e63.. :-)
Anybody tried to install a 240x320 application, or u have to install only 320x240 applications
Well, itz an amazing phone for guys who wish a Wi-Fi phone. Its has more advantages over 6210 Navigator. The only thing Navigator 6210 offers is better picture quality & the 3G front cam for voice calling. Besides 6210 is slider phone. i went to buy 6210 Navigator but ended up buying E63.
When will you guys (the GSMArena crew) do a review?
I'm thinking about getting one when they become available here (Nairobi), the E71 retails at an average price which if translated to US dollars comes to $650-700, which is from what I see on the net, a huge rip-off. An E63 may be the best alternative
is there any side keys on this phone, and is there a backspace key in the keyboard
Overall-GREAT PHONE. I bought the phone 2 days back and its really impressive. The WLAN works great! I'm browsing fast internet in my office and home Wireless LAN. The processing speed is superb specially comparing with my old E50. Multimedia features are too good again. The packaged headset is not too impressive. And the minus points I've noticed is the body quality and the missing data cable inside package. I'm now in a hunt for the cable. Rating - 9/10.
I was at the mall (SM Manila) awhile ago, and I noticed this phone immediately. I suddenly asked the sales clerk about the price of it. I was shocked... It's cheaper than I expected. It costs PHP12,500 only (considering the fact that they were the only store then who were selling e63. And remember the "The Law of Demand" and how "monopoly" works? What if, all of them were selling e6?). I'm gonna buy this for my birthday and I know for sure that this phone will gonna depreciate it's price before my birthday came.
Wow this looks great. I wud like 2 have one! Im using a nokia 6210 navi. And im tired of this plastic.
