the light sensor is a small sensor on the front that detects how much light is on the phone, and adjusts the keypad lights accordingly. So if its bright, then the keypad lights will automatically be off and vice versa. Just saves battery

I recieved this phone a couple of weeks ago an even tho i was concerened about the battery life and complicated menu i have found this phone to be one of the easiest i have ever used. Every need is catered for and despite dropping it a number of times its sturdy as a rock! The battery has been great and i have even managed to find a phone my 18yr old son approves of. Winner!
halo, to all e65 user ! cheers ! could user noe whr to download e65 map and whr to get the device ? i check with nokia CW and they say they not selling the modules..thk u all....
NOTE: The Light Sensor is exactly that A LIGHT SENSOR. Its that little thing up in the right hand corner of the phone. Its NOT a second camera, this phone is 3G for the download speed and reception, You can recieve video calls but cant send video back THERE IS NO WAY OF USING THE LIGHT SENSOR AS A CAMERA.
planning to buy this phone tomo... i have nokia n 73 and that really sucks@@@@ is it worth switching over to this phone...
You can use GPS with this phone by buying a Nokia GPS bundle and getting maps for it.
after 2 weeks and the backlights of the keypad and functional keys went kaput.
phone's with the service centre for close to a week already.
Well done Nokia! What an amazing phone! Very good looking with great features.
Nokia 8800 is know for its heavy use of a battery. This is why Nokia included an extra battery in the package. E65 is basically the same as E60, but more retail user friendly as opposed to business professional as E60.
Don't complain about E60, ust upgrade the firmware and reinstall all applications. This is one of the best phones around (E60). And it is availabe for under $300.00. It does not have a camera, so for kids, it probably has no value.
hey guys, i wonder if u can tell me one thing. Just checked the real phone in the shop and surprisingly enough the red color is not that bright as it is on all the pictures that i have seen. it is more like wine color rather than red. or may be there is another color on the market as well ? coz i am really after a red one but i find it a bit too dark and am a bit dissappointed..
Had this phone since Friday and am finding that I will have to charge it every 2 days.
I use it for about 60 mins per day calls and about 30-45 mins Wifi a day.
Wifi does work just have to make sure you read the manual and set it up from the right menu.
