I have the E65 for 2 weeks now. I can't get it to recognise voice commands. I was able to add voice tags on Nokia 6230i, and thought this would be a step up. Not so. Has anyone had this problem and more importantly, has anyone found a solution.
Thanks; any ideas which GPS model is better for e65? The main question - after purchase of this GPS station, could I really "see" my location in the map and could set directions?
This phone doesnt have a built in GPS receiver, you need to buy an external bluetooth one
Yip, I had downloaded Wayfinder Navigator, which states the voice commands, when I set my trip. But still it doesn't show me the real location. May be I shold get maps like tomtom (Nokia phones just hasn't this), which are more "heavy"- I mean up to 1GB?
I tried to us navigator, based on Bluetooth GPS and Network, but still I have not any reply from satellites.
Rej, could you use your e65 as GPS (the same as in car :)). I have such feeling that e65 doesn't support GPS without external device.
You may upgrade your fimware by using the the pc suite. Select "Update Phone Software". this should take you to the Nokia website promting you to download the Nokia software updater if you have not downloaded it. If you have downloaded and installed it already, it will automatically start updating. Before updating you will notice on the side the status of your firmaware. Your current firmware will be displayed and the firmware available will be displayed under it. Before commencing with the firmware update, your phone will have to be connected to the charger.
Note: It is advisable to back up all information (contacts, messages, files and applications) before updating.
With regards to the phone itself, I find it to be quite a nice phone. A little slower than my previous phone but a pleasure to use nevertheless. Packs a powerful punch for the slim bomb it is.:)
im not sure on this, but maybe the updates depend on your country. but i doubt it coz im in malaysia and was able to update mine to the new version.
How do i upgrade the firmware, i know there is an update but the software updater says that there is no known upgrade
i understand where u are coming from.
its really different from the real gps like 'garmin'. maybe its just map on the phone. did u download a voice guided navigation? i think that's supposed to be the one that can tell you where u are currently located and directions to take.
I also have downloaded different maps to my e65, I can set destination form point a to point b. The real problem is that I can't find my position - e65 is offering me to get the map, but it hasn't show me the place, where I am at the moment.
GPS is an option for telephone, I don't think that my Mobile operator is offering such product. GPRS, Edge and UMTS - yes.
Thanks in advance!!!
im not sure on this but let me try.
i think this phone's like network based gps and also has bluetooth gps.
i am in kl, i also downloaded maps. and they are working on my phone..thru my network's 3g internet.
Please advise does this phone could be used as a GPS station? I had downloaded all maps, but still I have not any reply from satellites? Anyone has the same situation? Or do I need to connect this phone whit GPS storage?
Thanks in advance!!!!
can i ask for specifications...???
It wrote that phone there are processor and SDRAM is this right???!!!
