for the ppl who ever have problem with their battery. you have to recharge you battery after fully draining battery, do it this procedure more than ten time, don't be lazy try it. this happen sometime due to bad reason, i have my mobile phone shop i experience such problem lot but this i found as best solution.
Had the E65 before this. The E66 is such a massive improvement that you canít put them in the same review. The phone is a great built quality, good slide movement with really easy intuitive menuís. I had this out of the box and working in less than 5 minutes and barely had to read instructions. I use it mainly for work, up to 3+ hours of calls per day, with extensive use of the diary function, wif-fi, SMS. Happy to say al of these are massive improvements over the E65 / E51, with larger text, better function. I think the Nokia engineers really learned their lessons from the E65. The diary is fantastic and takes all my appointments from outlook easily. The Nokia PC suite is still not that great, but functions OK. Phone battery life is poor, but not worse than the E65 and I hope this getís better with time, had phone for one-week. Despite set up email wizard I could not connect to my corporate network for email which is a pity because this would be really useful, otherwise this is a top class business phone.
just purchased this phone. I need help to setup voip calls, as skype. thanks
Great phone, but the battery is a little disapointing, still the right phone for me. the battery holds me for almost 3days ~70 hours with 15 min talk per day, 2 sms per day and 1 hour of gps totally.
those oredi bought then need take extra care of the battery life, that all! phone feature is more o less like N95...
those haven buy, think 3x times for the battery life issue...
that's my conclusion on tis hp..
@sithandiwe: don't be scared, it' a great phone: good looking, good built quality, many features.
And as long. And if you have an organized life you can have a lot of fun with that phone. By organized I mean that you do everything as planned, cos then you can plan the stations where you can recharge your phone. But as soon as you'll do something unexpexted, ring up some friend after work and maybe go out, it may happen that you will run out of battery. For me it is a no go for the E66, because I like spontaneous actions, and the E66 is a phone which has to be taken care of regularly - this doesn't fit my lifestyle.
i got my E66 today now im scared because of all the negative comments
I just bought an E66, the phone has an amazing slider. Host of features and one of the best experiences i am having. Earlier i was using an N95, this is much better.
only have 1/3 of N95 battery duration life.....
wat actually Nokia trying to do with their E- bisness level product?????
they r saying. a gud product will spread the news from 1 mouth to 9 persons,

nothing else matters, 10 Dec 2008why are you all against nokia E66? i think it is a good phone ...plzz ... reply! We are not against E66. The battery life is really bad. The Design of the phone looks great. It does not act like it is a Nokia phone. My thinking is made by Korean company for Nokia and sold under Nokia name. Like I say I had 2 and both of them had problem and each one went to Nokia Service center at least few times. But phone looks great and feels great in hand.

t, 09 Dec 2008battery life nokia E66 the most suck handphone! I think the manufactur pay big sum to gsmar... moreIt is true. Nokia is losing me as customer. I dold my E66 too and bought N85 and N85 was no good and change to N79. It is okay but nothing speical about it.
@Ricky: thanks for the advice, but for me it's a little bit too late since I already returned the device... maybe it would have helped... but maybe not.
I only tried to update the firmware with the nokia software updater: the latest firmware was already installed (tho there were some newer version, but these were not available for my branded version of the device). Who could have guessed that I first have to book it in at a care point to get satisfying battery life?
