shall, 30 Nov 2008I like the looks of e66 than e71 but im bothered about the post regarding a bug in recording m... morethe e-66 that i have is stylish, but the problem is that i has a speaker problem and that irritates me a lot as much as it is light and fun to have.
Although i have incoming or outgoing calls from different areas of my contacts (mobile, office.home),
in the call list they all appear with the same sign
on the side(mobile sign). This is really bad because it
is important for my job to know exactly where do I
get the call from.
claire, 29 Nov 2008E66 User, Thanks for your kind reply. Now I prefer E71 and would have it this December 10.... moreI´m pretty sure it is not possible to assign any kind of ringtone to an "unknown caller", but what you could do is assign ringtone#1 to all contacts (manually of course) or assign ringtone to a group contact and set the default ringtone to ringtone#2. See what I mean? I know it is a lot of work...but I guess it´s the only way...
I like the looks of e66 than e71 but im bothered about the post regarding a bug in recording mode. Is it true on all e66 phones or one unlucky dude bought a defective phone?
Hi, can anyone advise if this syncs well with MS Outlook esp the Calendar and appointments?
There have been reviews of the short battery life. Can anyone explain how short? I generally use it to make calls and check my emails probably twice a day.
guys i'm facing something weird! i took pictures and i checked them out yesterday in the gallery, but today they disappeard!! i cant find them anywhere!! does anybody knows what can i do??
The White version doesnt look as good as the white colour on the E71.
The Grey Steel colour looks tons better on the E66.
Hi, can anyone advise if this phone will work with with MS Outlook esp syncing with the calendar?
Between this and E71, battery life seems to be lacking in this one. In your experience, how long does it take before one needs to recharge?
E66 user, 29 Nov 2008If you want more mobile feature than PDA, it's E66. The other way around is E71.
It's your ... moreE66 User,

Would you care try this on your phone.
Change your default ringtone for unknown caller/sender (unknown means not define on your phonebook or contacts).
So, when unknown caller/sender calls/sends a message the assigned ringtone (downloaded mp3, not builtin tone) would play.

Generally [best and good buy], which one, E66 or E71?
I am more confused upon reviewing... moreIf you want more mobile feature than PDA, it's E66. The other way around is E71.
It's your preference, better try both. I'm using this E66 'coz i can sms in one hand no hazzle. In E71, you have to use both hands most of the time.

I am more confused upon reviewing both of the two.
I just got myself an E66 and it has a major BUG: the sound isn't synchronized with the image in recording mode (there is a huge delay between the sound and the imagine).
I've tried updating the firmware and the problem is exactly the same.
I have tested more than 5 different E66s and they ALL have the same problem!!
WTF Nokia!? I promise you this will be the LAST nokia product i will EVER buy!
For the huge amount of money it costs i would not expect to have major bugs like this.
bleah, makes me sick!

I have a friend who owns a NOKIA E66, and I'm curious to find out that his phone has quite a bad fading on his 4 way directional button. Any of you guys experienced it?
Unfortunately I think Nokia missed the boat with this one, whilst the fact that the phone is packed with features and the build quality and screen are excellent, it does not translate into real world usage. In my job i utterly rely on my phone, and i find the E66 wanting.
I found that the ability to find and hold a signal poor, several times I was showing no signal yet collegues had signal on their phones.(same provider)
The caller volume is quite low so difficult to hear with high ambient background noise.
The wifi performance again was poor, and as i use this feature a lot in my job a serious downfall, again others were fine in same location.
The battery life is absolutely appalling, unbelievable that Nokia lost the plot so badly.
This phone does have a lot of redeeming qualities (looks, build quality, features) but I feel it is not worthy to wear the "E" badge, more of a high end consumer phone than a proper business tool. I just think that they missed their chance with this one. I've gone back to my E51.
Gonzi, 28 Oct 2008DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE... I REGRET I BOUGHT 1. Very very bad battery life. hardly goes 2 days... moreyes the photo quality is average not bad, but i don't have any of the other problem you are having... Mine is very solid, so quick and smooth... you must have drop it or is a defective device. go change it if still under warranty
