Does anyone know when they will be releasing this phone in green or orange?
there's nothing new in this phone n8 is better than e7 in fields of camera and design...rest is same as n8..nokia have no sense of humour....making exact copy of n8 everything is same symbian ^3 os is same and all specifications are same camera is 8 mp in this phone whereas n8 is having 12mp only 1 thing is added and that is sliding qwerty keyboard and cost of e7 is also some above from n8 no point of buying this phone ....nokia these days either confused in what they r making or they have gone mad..
Anonymous, 10 Mar 2011You don't know what you are talking about at all, 16GB of memory is enough for most people.
... more3 days with the e7.
1)This phone is fast enough. Or u could say very fast.
2)Screen is lovely. Watch a sample clip to appreciate it.
3)Battery 1 full day of heavy use with 2 bars remaing.
4)Phone is more of a computer and requires 2 handed use for many operations because of the 4" screen and the large keyboard .
5)Cannot scan documents but you can take photo of a doc or label from 50cm up and then crop it. Works good but not great.
6)Need to use opera for browsing. Opera also saves u on your data plan.
7)Voice is clear even in loud or outside surroundings.
I will keep updating my views here.
I like E7 and have been waiting for it since it was announced.
But to my disappointment E7 is on pre order in India @ Rs. 35000 which is way too high for its features...
Though I like its features which are good and useful to me but I won't be taking it for more than Rs.26000 (N8 costs Rs.22000)...
why nokia choose a fix camera in Q1 2011?
why the battery is not replaceble?
why launch such a slow cpu?
why nokia decide to make such move after lost the leadership to iphone?

- But with the E7s price point, it's not really for most people.
Since when has this specification from 2005, 680MHZ they barely had 300MHZ once again Symbian is designed to run on slower processors.
- It might not be from 2005, but we have to admit that in this day and age, 680mhz and especially SYMBIAN is not cutting it. Mid-range handsets have 600mhz processors in them. This one's high-end. And then there's Symbian, which Nokia will be replacing with WP7 in their high-end phones later this year; an indirect admission that SYMBIAN is indeed not doing well against its competition.
Fixed focus once again is fine for people who want to take a quick snap this is a business phone not a cameraphone.
- Yes, and I really see businessmen taking quick snaps of their colleagues in the office or of the scenery on their way to work. Woohoo!

It has the thumbdrive reader to let you save files on your usb. You can also connect this E7 to a projector or HD tv for presentations. Trust me, E7 can do more than what you have read here. For this price I can get a dual core phone and there are dozens of querty phones out there with better specs. This thing would have been top of the line if it was released in 2008.
Mobilemaster, 09 Mar 2011The LG Optimus 2X is twice better than this crap! :)) Sorry guys, but I know what I am talking... moreNo i guess u missed the point here bro, i have used LG and Samsung, i test phones, and these two companies just make phones to compete, advertise and sell, Just to get the "NAME", its a type of advertising for them whether they r losing or not, they have washing machines, refrigerators, etc so they dnt care if the y lose or not.. The smartphone world today has all the eyes so they are working hard in these sectors to get all eyes for their brand name.
Ive used Samsung and they have shit batteries for their size (Plus a very strong insecure smell when heating), my nexus s stopped working a while ago for a stupid reason and i dnt even know if it is that stupid reason (left in the car and went for 3 hours, i do that to my N8 and no problem, i moved charcoal with my n8 and no problem). When i use these phones they feel insecure, either in phone radiation or battery leakage or SAR levels, some phones give u headache after a while of using them.
Im not saying Nokia is the best, but they make damn perfect hardware and it has been studied how u talk and how u put it on ur face and how u type, and always Nokia has the crystal clearest voice while talking, i know software based they r weak but there is an update coming changing everything, other than that i rather have a perfect phone than a PDA, it has the apps, the games, the browser and everything else, email handling is important and my n8 handles it like a breeze (4 emails and all are pushed to me).
Today people dnt get satisfied thats why they will keep changing and everyday hating and loving a brand, in the end PHONE manufacturers is what matters, SMART comes as secondary. And Nokia defines PHONE.
Plus the e7 is highly priced for premium build, fantastic keyboard, and one of the best if not the best screens out there. Oh yeah and designed by a Japanese guy.
In the end of my search for phones i concluded that Nokia manufactures the toughest, cleanest ( in voice, and feeling that its cold on ur ears and does not cause headaches, good battery and fast charging) .. All in all it feels secure and all around, it has its weak points but it just rounds up everything neatly with Connectivity as its Primary focus which is the right thing to be done because thats a device that always will be close to u.

Seriously. Too little, too late.
Slap some WP7 in this baby and this might have a very bright future ahead of it.
This phone is not worth the price. Nokia nowadays is left behind and shadowed by other manufacturers. Processor is not yet improved, no full flash support, symbian OS, poor battery, and a lot more flaws. The only good things about this phone are the QWERTY keyboard just like n97, and the HDMI. the camera seems it's not made by nokia. This wont be a success. It gets some points also for having AMOLED screen. Overall rating, 6/10.
Every man and his dog has an (eye)phone ...
They spend most their time pushing them into your face showing you their latest don't forget to breath app!
Wan't something unique, well made, tried and tested, that's does everything! with finesse!
Buy an E7! Great, great phones!
