The successor of n900. But i don't think it will have physical qwerty keyboard, unless they make different pro version of it.

People only care about Ghz and Ram nowadays but they fail to realise that they don't really need them. People are looking down on nokia for using a ARM 11 processor for such a device but they don't see the underlying reasons behind it. Unlike Apple, nokia doesn't brag. The real story is that the Arm 11 processor inside S^3 phones isn't even used for stuffs like camera, games, apps, browser etc. All these are taken care by the BroadCom GPU. Which is in par with those of iphone4. The processor is just for browsing through the menus and writing text. Everything else is processed by the GPU. So why in the world do we need a 1ghz processor. Nokia knows to make phones, they don't make it a game console like the iphone. And have i mentioned the pricing yet. Nokia gives maximum for the minimum. No company dares to give a nHD screen even in a $120 handset. Only sad thing about S^3 is that they are stuck at nHD. Nokia did great by taking Windows7. At least nokia fans will have something unique to show.
Hi.. To the people who already have the phone.. Does the E7 support SMS delivery notification like previous Nokia phones or is it like the iphone?
I have the E7-00 for a one day, phone was excellent and enjoy to use. All functions work perfectly. 3 screens can adjust just you like it with widgets and icons you like. Also several email addresses it handle with easy. The separate adjustment of email sync for each account work perfectly. But, the camera. At my work i need all the time take photos from a documents texts or for a quality purposes take a macro photos from damaged/defected objects. You cannot focus camera under 500mm, because it is fixed focus camera. Therefore the camera are useless for me, or my line of work. I return the E7 and put an order for Nokia N8, there are macro mode on that phones camera. Only harm is that i lose the real qwerty keyboard, which i will miss a lot. I hope that Nokia will do the N9 with qwerty keyboard and with minimum of N8 features and camera witch include macro mode, then they have the phone that can be use all around.
I had E7 for few days and it's a amazing phone . excellent build quality and surprisingly runs smoothly without any problem . E7 is much easier to use on daily basis : a bigger screen and the introduction of slide keyboard , say if you primary purpose is for communication , such as email, text message and browsing the web although a bit slower ( than other top of the smart phone ) but still acceptable. I really like it !
Nokia E7 is an Awesomeee Phone Except for it Camera!!...=/
The camera is 8 megapixels Fixed-Focus Camera!!...:@
N8's Camera is wayyy Better!!...=)

nokiia learn to put heavy power batteries in your phones ,only then i'll consider buying arepalcement for my trusted 3 yrs old E90
NOKIA you have a good phone(E7) but you must understand in order to people buy your products you must make it superb and match it with low cost phone. please put all the good stuff in one phone with qwerty key board touch screen FM, sd, ++3GHZ or what so ever make it one phone for us to buy. GOT IT?
Santosh, 20 Feb 2011Friend you you want processor just processor, not performance. Ok buy a PROCESSOR of high gh a... moremay be now you dont need it but later on after few more months you are going to buy a new one because your e7 cant follow the new programs or application. cheap on battery and price hope u can keep it and put it in the museum
Samsung galaxy s2 is 2ghz and iphone4 is 1ghz why the H they maka a good ergonomical phone that has both touch screen and the convenience of a keyboard with only a 6++mhz processor.
Great specs, horrible Os which ruins everything
and finally a nonsense Battery mA , wat the fuk were they thinking when they used 1200 mAh for a device like that!!??! cant they simply use E52's or E72's battery the mighty 1500 mA for this device and any other touch devices , and im not talkin about just Nokia
all the companies has stupid ideas when it comes to the battery .
Low battery ,Low battery,Low battery |(
guys the best set which nokia has produced to this date is 9300.perfect set...I wonder why they have stopped producing communicater series anymore...that was the best series man...touch screens suck badly....
Man! i seriously cant understand why ppl go about thrashing Nokia about the specs of the CPU and RAM. If an OS and the applications are optimized, why is there a need for a higher end CPU? If nokia are using a lower end CPU it means they treat fones as fones, Battery backup is the main aspect of a phone! I am seeing a few andriods out here which dont last through a day... There are advantages and disadvantages sticking to all the OSes out there. Increasing the speed of the CPU to achieve performance on a cell phone is like increasing your pant size as you hip gets bigger rather than working out to reduce your hip( u do forget that something at the back gets bigger and uglier!). Symbian may be sluggish i would expect some tweaks in the OS rather than implementing a higher end CPU (until or other wise we could get a proper backup) I am ready to get stuck with an OS that is a bit slow rather than recharging my mobile every single day and keep worrying about the usage time!!!!!!!!! E7 just has all i want! About the camera....I aint a professional photographer and no photographer who has photographic sense uses mobiles to capture images! I read reviews about the camera and saw a few snaps...things are way okay than many phones that are out there in the market..I could say only the N8 beats the crap out of the phone wrt cam.... but with Edof I remove the need of continuous autofocus for shooting videos... From the time N82( I have one) was launched, I'd say Nokia mobiles rule that category of phones wrt cam....makes me laugh when I hear Sony has better cams than nokia!!!!!! I am not ready to trash back other companies like most who are out here...saying just dont give empty comments!!I checked out a few andrioid devices....to me what ever settings were out there....i could see them in the first nokia fon i had... the N70....that works like a charm though 5 years have passed! The area where symbian lacks is the eye candy(seriously...they have to improve) and gallery section improvements(eye candy here as well)...and browsers...cant help...i hate browsing in mobiles....ll use the comp rather....if ever i need anything urgent...i have opera! Except for the ram and cpu the specs of the E7 surpasses many of its competitors.. The real thing that makes me wonder is the bigger the number a manufacturer gives the bigger ppl think of them.. In most cases these numbers are not optimized well enough to represent those numbers! For example i can say 720p recording.. Can say most units out there dont capture quality videos .. moreover Nokia have promised updates...i trust them...they have been trustworthy for a long long time...given that b4 they switch to WP7 they'd make sure all Symbian users do not have problems with their handsets....
