cant understand guys why symbian is going down(rather being killed for WP7 x... moreslow down mate..there is nothing to lose..
sincerely.Nokia did not dump Symbian-their still have development on it for future.read the news. I have use this phone before Dopot,HTC touch HD, Touch PRo 2..WM 5/6/6.5..Now there is WP7 and it new.Never have this device before.I really happy nokia will joint WP7.At lease I have opportunity to play around WP7.May be next year perhaps.because I believe other company had wm phone. Now let Nokia show their talent and skill to polish WP7..dont expect to much for first model..because their still new.Still learning.I believe it will improve time to time..like their do with symbian s60v3/5 Symbian^3 or S40 device.Just give them opportunity.Cant wait for nokia WP7..heheeh The thing i like nokia most, there always had firmware update to fix bug..that the good news...
Sincerely i had buy N900 meego, and by next day I sell it back..no need to explain why.you know what i meant.
For phone selection, I have advice for u..read user review.they will talk about their experience with the device. The device you said is still new.not release yet.dont be to ambitious.make you headache.except you have more money to spent.
nokia should recently improve their mobile feature.sorry to say nokia ur camera still poor when sony e has a strong camera and video recorder.sound still bad now.when it’s dolby digital.graphics and menu view also need improvement.
I am worried about Nokia adopting WP7 as their operating system. We all know WP7 is not the most usable OS in the market. The new CEO is making a big mistake and NOKIA is making a mistake in appointing him as CEO (unless he is a family member or he is one of Nokia's biggest shareholder). Just one look at him, I know he is not the kind who needs a smartphone in his daily life. He must be a least computer nerds if not computer addict to lead. He just makes and receive call. Sending email will be his secretary, he won't know how to send emails from smartphones. Therefore, he won't know the kind of phones which is required by the market.
What he should have done is to educate his software enginners, hardware designers, system engineers to polish the current SYMBIAN OS and make it even better. I guarantee, a lot of Nokia employees will be losing their jobs very soon especially the engineers, since Nokia will just wait for the software given by Microsoft. Nokia just produce the phone and that leaves Nokia's own engineers with nothing to do.
ryan, 16 Feb 2011i agree with you mate...i have samsung galaxy tab..love the spect and OS but very disapponted ... moretotally agree mate....if android could become a battery saver then nothing like it...really no other os can compete with android then...but i dont see it happening in coming years !!! the way these smartphone componies are increasing the ram on there phones and other specs as well...i dont think is possible !!!but u never know,so lets hope for the best !!! :-)
@mike and ryan
cant understand guys why symbian is going down(rather being killed for WP7 x-/) after serving so loyaly to nokia for so many years now...when ios and android wernt even born...instead of devoloping symbian and making it as eyecandy as android nokia has simply opt for to leting it go just like that !!! symbian was never a faliure u moron steph...u and ur devlopers were !!! and today where u are is becoz of early symbian smartphones.
i dont think theres any other os available as battery consuming as symbian was...i wish nokia could have devloped it properly...fingers crossed for meemo,meego...hope they will survive and come victorious in this nokia-wp7 summit.
and mike even i was so exited to have my hands on this oversized N8 with qwerty(E7) !!! and...now we both are sharing the same dilema...weather to go for LG optimus, xperia arc or SGS-II !!!
m personally in fevour of SE arc simply becoz of its hardware just hate plastic and cheap feel of my "X" SGS !!! even SE arc is all plastic but atlist its not that glossy one which samsung use...it has matt finished on its battery cover so far...(i mean u know how many changes takes place before actual launching !!) but then again SGS-II with 1GB ram and full HD recording facin8s me !!! lets see mate still one month to go for their launch, fingers crossed !!!do let me know ur choice as well and any other options u can think of.cheers :-)
AnonD-570, 15 Feb 2011m in love with the NOKIA hardware...i have used many androids so far but beside my i phone 3gs... morei agree with you mate...i have samsung galaxy tab..love the spect and OS but very disapponted with battery power consumption...i do love more my N8 and C7....i use it day to day ..never worried about battery power..i just hopping that symbian^3 will be smooth like android....or perhaps android can be more battery saver because it os is perfect..if their can solved this problem..android will be the best...neverless for this time being N8 still the best in overall performance..just waiting e7 to release in my country to replace my c7...
why u nokia always delay....i hate to wait for so long....?????
as much as I hate trojan elop for pushing nokia into what americans call ecosh*tstem (hello US, there is a world out there), I'll still support 'em.
AnonD-570, 15 Feb 2011m in love with the NOKIA hardware...i have used many androids so far but beside my i phone 3gs... moreI do agree with u.
I myself have been using bb torch currently, my 2nd phone is the n97 as well as the sony x10.
I have been using symbian since a very long time, n97 is probably my 10th nokia symbian device, but the x10 is my first sony ericsson as well as my first android phone, also the bb is my first ever bb.
My experience so far, symbian is the best for everyday use making calls, notes, calender,
x10 android is fast, and great for taking pictures, sleek design, gets attention.
bb the best messenger phone so far.
My next phone, I am pretty lost between E7, xperia play xperia arc and galaxy s 2.
I think processor of E7 doesn't perform well. It has same issue as N8. Nokia please seek alternat of Symbian.
symbian doesnt use so much power as android so a 680mhz is equal to 1ghz android.Although the camera is bad and screen res but good quality and design unlike samsung and lg phones.and symbian isnt that crappy cuz i have se vivaz pro and I can unpack rar files, download torrents, read pdf files and so on.still android is a better OS than
I would have bought this phone if Nokia would have included the Fm transmitter and micro SD card slot, this phone should have had N8 hardware plus the keyboard phone. They can and should build a N8 with real keyboard for we symbian lovers. Nokia should be able to make symbian, android and wp7 phones if the want to be leaders.I'm vex they don't have any new phones to show, what in the world they been doing for the past year.Fire the people at the top , not the bottom.
Anonymous, 16 Feb 2011Nokia will bu using Window7 for its operating system after its agreement with IBM. Symbian wil... moreIf all goes well then we will see a Nokia WP7 this year but there is a chance that we won't see one until 2012.
Nokia will bu using Window7 for its operating system after its agreement with IBM. Symbian will be history. Nokia will be dropping its symbian OS and replace it with W7 for future phones.
Its time for them to make the move.
Whether its getting better of worst only time will tell.
Just wait and see for the next 6 months for Nokia Phone running W7 OS.
Does not make any sense to buy Symbian phones for such hefty prices as Nokia will discontinue symbian support down the line. Better options with Android
Anonymous, 14 Feb 2011i have a nokia e71 and want to upgarde to a nokia e7 .is the e7 good?Buy iphone or blackberry and you will not regret your decision. Nokia is not coping up with market in term of hardware, feature, look and over all product quality. I can give hundreds of example (if u ask) to justify my statement. Now its time to quit Nokia.
what's the strategy giving 1200mh battery in this high end phone specially other E-series keeping 1500mh battery. Nokia still thinks they rule the market but not anymore. This type of poor plus and minus in hardware and features really killing them to compete in the market. Well Done Nokia, keep up the good work like this so you lose the remaining market.
