I know symbian^3 is a light OS, but look at the flaws and features it's missing. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on Nokia, they do OWN android in terms of Multimedia: Music and Video playback, and as well as Multitasking.
I'm just frustrated at them for not putting a powerful phone in the market.

If you're able to wait for about half a year, then I think you should go for MeeGo.

Brynn, 08 Jan 2011Ram at 500MB is still low and since banks of RAm are in 128MB,256MB,512MB increments 500MB IS ... moreSo you say 512 mb isn't enough. Oh my god! How much ram do you need on a phone. In pc or laptop 512mb is slow do to the evolution of software and games. That's why in pc people need more than 1gb ram to work on graphics department. Hey even my pc has 3gb ddr3 ram. That's because i need to play powerful games and to work smoothly. I personally think 512mb is enough. And having 1gb is overkill for a phone. I don't play games often in a phone. Complete waste of ram if there is no apps to use with it. But for now 256mb and 512mb is enough for a phone....
Morten, 12 Jan 2011Like the Motorola Milestone 2, and actually even the original Milestone compared to this one. ... moreSince the nokia E7 does not use android, the specifications of the phone do not need to be as powerful as the milestone 2 as android uses more resources than symbian. It really depends upon the call quality, build quality, battery life etc and especially what the user wants. Not everyone wants to use an android phone..
The battery is way too small, I wonder how it will cope with thist big screen..
Morten, 12 Jan 2011Like the Motorola Milestone 2, and actually even the original Milestone compared to this one. ... moreMilestone 2 doesn't look too bad but camera's not as good, battery not as good, and no built in gps voice navigator system, like ovi maps. The Nokia E7 looks way sexier as well, aesthetics are a big deal in the cell phone industry these days, European companies have that market cornered, along with quality ;)
Gave up on the E7 and decided to go with the N8. I think both phones will have be equivalent based on software, but the N8 camera and accessories will outway those of the N8.
I just want to communicate the concerns that N8 is facing with the bugs it is carrying. If Nokia doesnt resolve these issues of the touch screen lagging movements and the symbian 3 operating system bugs which switching the handsfree on its own, i am afraid Nokia will not b able to handle the pressure from iphone and BB. Nokia has not been able to master the techno of touch screen.
