The camera module on the N8 obviously protrudes out the back. The EDoF camera module is smaller. If they tried to put the N8 camera module on the E7, it may protrude out even more. The slider keyboard allows even less space in the keyboard half to house a camera.
symbian software is the slowest glitchy phone software on this planet!!!
GVS, 20 Dec 2010Except NOKIA all other manufacturers prefer only auto-focus in mid and higher end models.
N... moreHonestly, fixed focus lenses can have a big advantage.
First of all taking snapshots goes A LOT FASTER
while filming, everything is always in focus
the only real disadvantage is the lack of macro mode and this is also for me a problem because I use it a lot (fotographing documents etc. at work)
Sadly the quality of the fixed focus lenses nokia uses in their new phones is rather crappy
Looks like Nokia wanted to make a business version of their N8. But apparantly the slider design is so expensive that they had to cut out all of the things that made the N8 good, and still have an abnormally high price.
Price wise it's on the absolute highest end of the market (thinking about the 500 euro before taxes)
Spec wise it's on the mid range end of the smartphone market
-->what's wrong here??
I'm still in love with the design, but if Nokia thinks that can convince me, think again!
Except NOKIA all other manufacturers prefer only auto-focus in mid and higher end models.
NOKIA started doing real business.(Cheap Fixed Focus and No Carl Zeiss lens)with higher price.
Nokia claims that fixed focus is good and better and claims that these new symbian^3 devices will outperform over flagship N8 because of Fixed(Full)-focus
But I prefer only Auto-Focus
looks so nice... too bad there are no symbian app when u're out of ovi store.. apple n android apps r taking over the market... :/
